M&E CAD Technician

One of my clients in Oxordshite is looking for an M&E CAD Technician to join their team to work on varied projects, you will be using standard 2D AutoCAD and there is also an opportunity to learn Revit MEP. They do provide great training and good salary package and a lot of room for progression quickly within the team, 

The Role:

As M&E CAD Technician you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for the quality of M&E CAD data produced.
  • Adhere to the company's CAD standards.
  • Plot drawings using the companies printing facility.
  • Liaise with the CAD Manager and project team for any CAD and Revit MEP related issues.
  • Liaising with lead project engineer and project team.
  • Store CAD files correctly in the project Document Management System.
  • Assist the team to issuing the drawings in electronic or hard copies.

Qualifications and Skill:

As a successful candidate you will join the team as a permanent member of staff and be part of a friendly and creative team.

  • Good knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical building services.
  • Appropriate knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D operation and drawing standards.
  • Fair knowledge of 3D CADDUCT. (Future in-house training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of UK Standards and Specifications.
  • Innovative ability to resolve CAD problems and issues.
  • Knowledge of Electronic document management system.


The successful candidate must have a passion for building engineering and prove the ability to work in a team to achieve fantastic results.

One of my top client who is looking for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services and offering a great training and opportunity for the career progression. They are an expanding consultancy with the offices in London, Manchester and all over the world. They do have got to offer a wide range of projects to work on including residential, commercial and healthcare projects.

As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer you may be involved in all parts of the design and development process or just one particular stage. While the work can vary according to the industry, common tasks include:

  • identifying customer requirements;
  • designing systems and products;
  • reading design specifications and technical drawings;
  • researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;
  • making models and prototypes of products using three-dimensional design software;
  • working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards;
  • liaising with others in the design team;
  • communicating with clients and contractors;
  • attending meetings on site;
  • designing and conducting tests;
  • recording, analysing and interpreting test data;
  • proposing modifications and retesting products;
  • qualifying the final product or system;
  • servicing and maintaining equipment;

BIM Coordinator

Joining us as a BIM Technician, you will assist with the design and be responsible for producing CAD and BIM drawings on various of projects. Under the guidance and direction of skilled CAD/BIM technicians. Typical drawing types include location maps, site plans, office layouts, elevations & detail drawings.


The successful candidate will be working day-to-day under the guidance of a more senior BIM technician. Assisting in producing high quality 2D AutoCAD and BIM drawings.

Individual requirements:

Possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent. (including Maths and English)
Highly motivated and able to work well both individually and within a team.
Be computer literate and able to use Microsoft office, some experience of AutoCAD and BIM would be an advantage.

What the successful Candidate will be able to expect:

Will gain an understanding of basic principles, terms and procedures.
Will develop the ability to produce accurate 2D drawings (including interior & engineering drawings) using AutoCAD and BIM drawing package.
Will gain an understanding via training and practise of drawing/CAD standards and procedures.
Experience of working in a multi-discipline environmental.
