Pipe Inspection Surveyor

Position -Pipe Inspection Team Member
Location- Swindon and will travel to London and other areas in the UK
Salary - £21-26K plus overtime of £200 to £500 available monthly - Travel time is also paid time.

A well established Swindon based company is looking for an operative to join an existing team who travel from Swindon to London and other areas to inspect underground pipework. Some staying away from home during the week will be required

Responsibilities include:

  • Leak finding and Surveying
  • Utilising mechanical and technical equipment to fault find
  • Some underground chamber work
  • Fun and team oriented position as work in gangs but must have the experience and ability to work alone when needed

Key Responsibilities

Fault finding
Engine electrical and mechanical problem resolution
Control panel modifications and tweaks
Basic wet and dry engine service

Provide call-out cover for generator breakdowns one week in four
Comply with all aspect of the company ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 procedures,
You must have
Relevant qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Diesel
Fitting / Plant i.e. City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent. or to have served/completed an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering
Possess good fault finding abilities and strong communication skills
Previous experience of working in a Field Service environment
Full Driving Licence (with towing categories preferred)
Good customer awareness with the ability to respond to customers’requirements effectively & efficiently
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Holder of CSCS Card (preferred)
