Nanshan Guanyin Cultural Park is situated at Nanshan District around 40 km west of Sanya CBD in China's Hainan Province. It is a key project in the Phase II expansion of the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, a 5A-rated national attraction, highlighted by the National Tourism Administration as a prioritised project under development for the tourism sector. The attraction is adjacent to the ocean and boasts the highest Buddha statue in the world - the 108 metre NanHai Guanyin statue. Lianyue Lake and Zhiyue Lake, two themed lakes featuring various artistic scenes, are complemented by Miaojin Grove, where thousands of banyan trees are planted. Asia's exclusive night lighting system, "Rays of Buddha", provide illumination after dusk. The sandy dam scenes include classics of the 2,000 year long Buddhist culture of China, and the horticultural art work is renowned world-wide.
