Thu, 27 Apr 2017 06:46:00 +00008 *YEARS* later... and this is still a problem. We have a large number of headless computers that we remote into using RDP. After I make a DVD for someone... no one can NEVER use it... because windows ejects it. I have to call someone at 3am and have them drive across town just to push the DVD back in. Ugh. Thanks Microsoft! Brilliant!

Thu, 06 Apr 2017 18:17:00 +0000In case someone is still looking for this (I was and couldn´t find it anywhere), here is the content of the batch file (more straight forward than the registry method because the registry method will create entries for services that might not even be installed, which the batch file won´t): TITLE Services Start State Backup Script by My Digital Life @echo off @echo ======================================================================== @echo Windows Services Start State Backup Script (C) 2008 My Digital Life 2008 @echo ======================================================================== @echo. @echo This script will backup all services with current state of Startup Type @echo. pause REM Get current date and time for /f "tokens=1, 2, 3, 4 delims=-/.
