Andujar's 4 hits lift Yanks to series win over Jays

Sun, 22 Apr 2018 18:14:40 EDT

Luis Severino allowed just one run on three hits in seven innings to win for the fourth time in five starts. Didi Gregorius hit a first-inning home run and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. But it was Miguel Andujar who pushed his way into the Yankees' 5-1 win over the Blue Jays, with a double that set up the two-run second inning and another double that drove home a run in the sixth on a 4-for-4 day. Prospect Gleyber Torres went 0-for-4 in his MLB debut. Toronto's only run came on Teoscar Hernandez's solo homer, and starter Jaime Garcia yielded four runs in 5 1/3 innings against his former club.
