Price: Reds' bench situation is wide open

Manager Bryan Price's club was thin with veteran bench candidates until adding Desmond Jennings last week and Ryan Raburn on Friday. Both have Minor League deals with invites to camp, and both are expected to arrive on Sunday. Otherwise, the battles are wide open for Cincinnati's remaining spots.

Even though he pronounced his shoulder to be 100 percent again, it would appear that Raisel Iglesias' days of being a starting pitcher are behind him. The bullpen is his home. "I love it. I like to be out there," he said. "I feel comfortable in the bullpen. I feel like I can give it 100 percent there every time. I think that's my role, I love it."

The Reds moved to add more bench depth when they agreed to terms with veteran outfielder/infielder Ryan Raburn on a Minor League contract, a source told on Friday. Raburn, who will join big league camp as a non-roster player once he passes his physical, will earn a $900,000 base salary if he makes the team.
