Sources told MLB.com on Monday afternoon that the Phils are close to a one-year deal with a club option with free-agent outfielder Michael Saunders, who made the American League All-Star team last season with the Blue Jays. MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi first reported the story. The club has not commented.
