The win pulled Baltimore within one game of Toronto for the top AL Wild Card spot while also maintaining the Orioles' two-game cushion over the Mariners, who defeated the Astros earlier Wednesday. Detroit dropped to 1 1/2 games back of the Orioles, pending the result of its game on Wednesday night against Cleveland.
