Buster Posey parachuted into Wednesday's eighth inning with one objective. After an error by Indians first baseman Carlos Santana thwarted a potential double play, the Giants called on their All-Star with two outs to erase a one-run deficit. Posey did just that, roping a pinch-hit two-run double off the bottom of the left-field wall, giving the Giants a 5-4 win over the Tribe.



Logan injures lat, likely headed to DL

Indians left-hander Boone Logan dropped to a knee at AT&T Park, grimaced in pain and is now more then likely headed to the disabled list. During the eighth inning of Cleveland's 5-4 loss to the Giants on Wednesday, Logan felt a sharp pain in his arm after firing a fastball to Brandon Belt that resulted in a walk.



With bats slumping, Tribe miscues magnified

Carlos Santana remained in full uniform, his eye black still smeared across his cheeks. As his Indians teammates packed their bags and prepped for the trip home, Santana sat at his locker, head down, rubbing his hands together. Cleveland was on its way to the win column until Santana was unable to cleanly corral a sharp chopper off Conor Gillaspie's bat in the eighth inning on Wednesday. On a road trip plagued by offensive shortcomings for the Tribe, an error like that can find its way under the microscope.



Kluber gets extra time to deal with neck issue

The Indians are hopeful that a couple extra days of rest are all Corey Kluber will need to get over the neck issue that's bothering him. With a team off-day on Thursday, Cleveland has shuffled its rotation to buy its ace some more recovery time.
