The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Target plans to open another one of its smaller stores in the Logan Square neighborhood. This will be Target's 10th "small-format" store in Chicagoland. And I think Milwaukee needs one.

Milwaukee Common Council officially deems "dilly dilly" obscene

First streetcar vehicle expected to arrive in Milwaukee next week

Brewery Spelunking: Miller Caves

Though the name of this series is urban spelunking, I don't get to see too many actual caves. The crumbling beer caves under the old Falk Brewery are an exception. The ones adjacent at Miller Brewing are another. These caves, unlike the ones at Falk, are open to the public.

Bill Schroeder, 88, was a long-time Milwaukee bookseller

According to a social media post by his daughter Meg Schroeder, William Schroeder, who ran a pair of Downtown bookstores for many years, passed away early Friday morning, after being admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit at Froedtert Hospital.

In latest East Side changes, local developer buys BBC, Hotel Foster buildings

Milwaukee Talks: Wisconsin Humane Society President Anne Reed

Even at 138 years old, the Wisconsin Humane Society is an organization that doesn't rest on its laurels. Just this month, it announced it will acquire the Bay Area Humane Society in Green Bay and the Door County Humane Society, bringing its total number of campuses to five. Leading this charge is President and CEO Anne Reed, a lawyer by trade, who joined WHS in 2010.

West St. Paul Avenue listed on State Register of Historic Places

Local couple's baby-and-kitten video goes viral

When Erin and Theresa Rouse took a video of their cousin's baby and kitten two weeks ago, they had no idea it would go viral. The video, which features a newborn baby and a kitten swaddled and resting peacefully together, has more than 2.5 million views and nearly 47,000 people from all over the world have shared it.
