The Orioles' Hyun Soo Kim came through with a pinch-hit two-run homer with one out in the top of the ninth inning on Wednesday night at Rogers Centre, turning what was on track to be a discouraging loss into a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. The win pulled Baltimore within one game of Toronto for the top AL Wild Card spot while also maintaining the Orioles' two-game cushion over the Mariners, who defeated the Astros earlier Wednesday. Detroit dropped to 1 1/2 games back of the Orioles, pending the result of its game on Wednesday night against Cleveland.



Tigers keep pace with rain-shortened victory
