Online Clothing Sales Surpass Computers for the First Time; To Hit $22.1B in 2007

Americans last year spent more online on clothing than they did on computers for the first time in history, according to the first part of The State of Retailing Online 2007 report by and Forrester Research. The report found the apparel, accessories and footwear category reached $18.3 billion in 2006 and is expected to hit $22.1 billion in 2007.

(image) The pay-per-click (PPC) industry average click fraud rate jumped to 14.8% for 1Q07 from 14.2% in 4Q06, according to Click Forensics. The average click fraud rate was 13.8% for 3Q06, 14.1% for 2Q06, and 13.7% from 1Q06.
