Stands and also prepared and I already drilled holes to default Eclipse ships (I have ship pack one so there is no need for them). I contacted company tham made board and we´ll see how they react to note about wrong scale of board. When I get new one I´ll just make box and game is ready to play.

Dan Yarrington and Game Salute helped me immensely in one of the lowest points of my life. They helped me get out of a pretty bad situation, and are also the only reason my game was published. I'll tell you guys the story once the lawsuit against them is resolved. My story isn't relevant to their game store lawsuit at all, but I don't like the idea of lawyers looking over my post. Also it also happened a long time ago and parts of the story get kind of personal. I stumbled upon this thread while doing research trying to decide if I want to reprint my game. I figured I should post something here.

I definitely owe a huge debt of gratitude to both Dan Yarrington and Game Salute. They helped me a lot in a difficult business situation that was one of the low points of my life. Thanks guys!

Glass stones ordered (acrylic cubes are currently only to show how many stones are needed) and only thing missing is the monster & hero "figures" stickers. Those will be glued to screw hole plugs I found in local hardware store.

I´m not even sure there is oficial english version, game is originally Czech.

I'm pretty sure this means it's not for 2016 orphans either... There will be another geeklist for these at the end of the year. ;)

But...but... all those poor orphans need a home!!

And since there's no list for MB's with single parents, I added them as well. ;)

You are welcome to start up a new list for 2016 orphans and single-parent MBs.

As a new list, it'll get more attention than this one does.

I created a new list for 2016 badges (37530 to 40488): https://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/220347/will-you-please-ad...

Makes more sense to only start such a list after the year has ended, as some have suggested, and I agree.

At any rate, last I'll say about TS and broken cards- I think there are several, and I probably won't play much anymore unless there is a gentleman's agreement that RS/RP must be played for ops and not the event. It is just too luck based and irritating to play against. imo, at least.

No one can deny your feelings and your own desire to play or not play a given game, but RS/RP simply requires skill to mitigate. It's part of the experience of TS, as it were.

There is no doubt that the end game of a close WotR game is too arbitrary. But WotR is all in the getting there. The game is so bound to such a compelling theme up to that point, that, as a serious Tolkien fan, I am willing to say I don't even care that much who wins finally in close games. I do wish it had a better resolution scheme, but that is just a blemish on the whole- a whole of which is almost like reading alternate versions of the books, and alternate versions which are of the quality of the real thing. I would never have expected to find that in any game.

TS can be a good, sometimes very good game. WotR is an experience.

I agree with you here.

Yeah, no word back from Sam yet from my GM. I may have to join twitter to try to get him to check his GMs that way, or something. I looked on the DiceTower site and there is no contact emails for anyone that I could find.

I thought about it for a bit today between inbox checks and I don't want to hold the train up too long. A day or two/three isn't terrible to try to get something going but I don't want to bog us down too much. So here are the options I am considering...

a) roll back the train a bit in hopes someone else can get an offer through to him instead
b) we can advance the train and lock in what is posted and I can keep trying him and posting updates on the item and I will make something work. The the fallback in this option would be having the PiFF item set aside and if he doesn't ever respond I can I can list it in the next JVMF auction when it comes around (with the item listed in his honor with a link to the PiFF item here).

I have a 2 and a couple 3s off his wishlist here so I am pretty confident when I get through I can give him something he wants. Failing that I can order something.

Thoughts? Opinions?

For now, it is about 2am so I am off to bed. I'll check back again in the morning. :D

You really might need to reach out to him via a couple of different means, including via twitter and also via emailing the dice tower main page. At this point I would give till Monday as he is a youth pastor and probably involved with church activities.

I would say that after that the train could move forward as you could do a JVMF auction.

I was playing solo, but playing two characters. And each character has two actions, so in that case, for one of the players, if you activate two fighters then that's your whole turn. I usually spend the 1st turn activating 4 fighters. I'll probably activate a few more later on, and that ends up taking a significant amount of your limited actions.

I was using a yellow die and a red die to denote what player had what cards--this was before the promo cards arrived, so I needed something to remind what character had what.

I remember there was a simple solo variant on BGG, based on the first solo rules, to make the game work closer from a multiplayer game:
solo variant that is closer to the 2-player game

Yes, the game should contain a poster size print of the map ;) Would look beautiful in any (game) room!

I only got this game recently and have been playing it solo for a few times now. I like it so far, especially for its family story building aspect. I wonder though about its long term replayability

I've just sleeved Rougarou and of course, it doesn't fit back into the blister pack. So I've put all the Dunwich stuff into the Core box and the Rougarou into the Dunwich box (for now). I'm looking at one of the MDF box storage solutions it the moment, then I'll probably throw all of the boxes away except for the Core.

Great list. I never miss an episode of Ludology. I'm really surprised by some of the titles. I expected to see some old classic.
Sekigahara is a title I've seen mentioned but needed never checked out so this could be the nudge I needed.

We ordered this one on our newest order. Luckily I was able to get the 'R' version. Even if it's two players we can make some fun tournaments out of this. Thanks for the suggestion!
