Wed, 05 Jun 2013 13:24:40 +0000I think we might be related, too. I think my grandmother, Christine Morrissey, nee McPartlin was his sister - we have a photo of her in front of the ITGWU with Delia Larkin.

Sat, 13 Oct 2012 15:35:51 +0000Analogue cable still continues in Ireland, and will for some time. Lots of people use the Sky magic eye so analogue tuners will continue to be used in Ireland for some time to come.
Sat, 13 Oct 2012 15:31:44 +0000"And are on pay services here", exactly UPC and Sky have to pay the BBC per subscriber to be allowed to have the BBC channels on their EPGs in the Republic. Saorview is non subscription, so there are no subscribers to pay the the BBC the appropriate fees. Overspill, is just that overspill. I don't agree that the UK Channels have no issues with overspill. RTE and Channel 5 have been to court over Home and Away. http://www.backtothebay.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26621 Some RTE programmes have to be blacked out on Cable and Sky in Northern Ireland as some Channel 4 programmes are blacked out on Sky in the Republic.

Thu, 05 Apr 2012 13:26:17 +0000Ah yes you always read! La bottine souriante I came across on a Folk Album via spotify last week. my kind of music. Marrsfield is a couple of fields away from me. see map http://g.co/maps/8vgg6 The advert for Move In Not Out is ironic. While it is not directly ironic to Marrsfield, around it in Clongriffin Beau Park Myrtle Village Stapolin and Belmayne, and the scandal that is Priory Hall, hundreds of residents have been force to "MOVE OUT" after moving in, because of dangerous buildings or pyrite.
Thu, 05 Apr 2012 02:04:56 +0000Looking over at your Blip.fm widget and loving that you're listening to La Bottine souriante's Le ziguezon zinzon ;) Now to prove that I've actually looked at this blog post I'll ask: where is this? New development outside of Baldoyle?
Wed, 18 Jan 2012 02:13:41 +0000Oh my .... this is unfortunate. Forgive my ignorance ... and the naiveté of a spoiled Canadian ... but it never occurred to me that the services of a fire department would be anything BUT free. Is this widespread in Europe? Having visited Baldoyle often, and knowing my family "across the pond" as I do, I'm quite sure that stories of people waiting until the last minute .. and often too late .. to call the fire department will become rampant. And what of the civic responsibility? Will homeowners be held responsible if they fail to call the fire department and fire spreads to their neighbours' properties? Will neighbours fight over who calls 999? Policies like this hurt the most vulnerable.
