UC Davis ends finals hiatus at Cal

Beginning at 5 p.m., the Bear's Lair, located one block away from Haas Pavilion will entertain UC Davis basketball fans and school alumni in a pregame reception organized by the Cal Aggie Alumni Association. Admission is $10 for CAAA/Parent and Family/TeamAGGIE members and $15 for non-members, includes appetizers and drink discounts.

Aggies drop heartbreaker at the buzzer in Idaho

Down by five with 35 seconds remaining in Saturday's non-conference game at Memorial Gym, Darius Graham hit a clutch three to pull the Aggies within two at 65-63. After Idaho hit the back end of a double-bonus situation, Siler Schneider sank both shots at the free throw line, after he was fouled, to make it a one-point UC Davis deficit with 16 seconds still left on the clock.

After a busy week that included four games within a six-day timespan, one week will pass between UC Davis' last appearance, which took place on Nov. 26 in the team's finale at the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, and Saturday's game at Idaho. Chima Moneke led all players in Saturday's game at the Alaska Airlines Center and recorded his second double-double of the season by posting a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, Mikey Henn nearly matched a career high of his own by adding 11 points and Siler Schneider rounded out a trio of Aggie double-digit scorers by chipping in another 10, but a late 6-0 Oakland run, and its ability to knock in eight of its final 10 free throw attempts helped it earn a 79-66 victory in the GCI Great Alaska Shootout's consolation championship.

Mooney sets a new career-high with perfect shooting effort

Joe Mooney led 10 Aggie scorers with 12 points in UC Davis' Thursday night opener at the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, and his team used a 16-4 scoring run, spanning 4:26 midway through the first half, to jump out to a 20-9 lead, but Weber State's three-point shooting helped it climb back into the game before halftime and pull away in the second half en route to an 86-55 victory.
