BU Mourns Passing of Hall of Famer Giles

The Boston University athletic community lost one of its all-time greats last week, as Tod Giles '94 passed away suddenly at the age of 45. A 1999 BU Hall of Fame inductee, Giles was the first Terrier wrestler to ever earn NCAA Division I All-America honors.

Wrestling Assembles Standout Recruiting Class for 2007-08

The Boston University wrestling team and head coach Carl Adams are pleased to announce that seven student-athletes will join the Terriers this fall, assembling what promises to be one of the program’s top recruiting classes in recent history. The incoming group features wrestlers from five different states who have combined to earn six titles in their respective state tournaments, along with eight All-America finishes in the national tournaments.

Despite a valiant effort in the late stages of regulation, sophomore Mike Roberts had his run in the NCAA Wrestling Championships come to a close on Friday morning with a 10-6 loss to Penn State's Dan Valliamont in the 149-pound consolation bracket. Roberts closes his season with a record of 27-13.
