Men's Cross Country Wins DSU Farm Run Invitational

Looking to bolster its program depth with another early season meet, the Navy men's cross country team competed with a freshmen-heavy roster on Friday at the Delaware State Farm Run. Racing on the 5,000-meter Delaware State Cross Country Course, the Mids won both the team and individual titles as Dawson Podlena (Fr., Topeka, Kan.) led the youthful squad.



Men’s Cross Country to Compete at DSU Farm Run

The Navy men’s cross country team will continue early season action on Friday afternoon in Smyrna, Del. at the 2017 Delaware State Farm Run. Racing on the 8,000-meter Delaware State Cross Country Course, the Mids will look to make it three team meet wins in as many weeks as the program has already earned victories at the Salisbury Fall Classic and Navy Invitational in 2017. Friday’s competition is set for a 3 p.m. start.



Kevin Murray Selected as Patriot League Runner of the Week

After winning the Navy Invitational this past weekend, Kevin Murray was selected on Tuesday afternoon by the Patriot League as its M-F Athlete Male Runner of the Week. He ran a personal best 8K time of 24:36.08.



Men’s Cross Country Takes First at Navy Invitational

The Navy’s men’s cross country program debuted its varsity team on Saturday at the 2017 Navy Invitational. Taking on a five-team field over the 8K United States Naval Academy Golf Course, the Mids recorded seven of the top-10 finishes to accumulate 21 team points. Kevin Murray (So., Wilmington, Del.) and Jake Brophy (So., New Hope, Pa.) led Navy with first and second-place finishes of 24:36.08 and 24:39.32.



Men’s Cross Country to Host Annual Navy Invitation on Saturday

The Navy men’s cross country team will continue early season action on Saturday with the annual Navy Invitational at the United States Naval Academy Golf Course. The schedule for Saturday will consist of the men’s junior varsity race at 10:15 a.m. with the varsity race following behind at 11:00 a.m.

The Navy men’s cross country team began its 2017 season on Saturday with a strong showing at the 21st Annual Salisbury Fall Classic. Racing with a team of 11 freshmen on the 8K course at Winter Place Park in Salisbury, the Mids edged the host Seagulls by one point for the team title, while Quinn Schneider took the individual crown in his first collegiate race.



Men’s Cross Country Team to Open 2017 Season on Saturday

The Navy men’s cross country team will begin its 2017 campaign this Saturday morning with competition at the Salisbury Fall Classic. The meet is scheduled to kick off at 9:45 a.m. The Mids are coming off one of the most successful seasons in recent history as the program won its eighth Patriot League title in October before finishing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and qualifying for the program’s 11th NCAA Championship appearance. At the 2016 NCAA Championship meet in Terre Haute, Ind., the Mids finished with a 26th-place result.
