Army-Navy Baseball Rivalry Heads to Fenway Park in April

It was announced on Wednesday that the Army-Navy baseball rivalry has been afforded and accepted an offer by the Boston Red Sox to play one of its 2018 games at Fenway Park. As part of the regularly scheduled April 21-22 road series at West Point, the Mids and Black Knights will move game one of their three-game series to historic Fenway Park for a Friday night game on April 20 at 6 p.m.

2018 Schedule Released for Navy Baseball

Winners of three straight Patriot League regular season championships, the Navy baseball team announced on Tuesday its 51-game schedule for the 2018 season. The Mids will kick off their campaign on Feb. 16 with the first of three games at a round-robin weekend tournament in Winston-Salem. 11 days after opening their season on the road, the Mids (37-17 in 2017) will begin the home portion of its schedule with a mid-week contest on Feb. 27 versus UMBC. In total, Navy will play five home weekend series in 2018, including three against Patriot League opposition.

Navy Baseball Participates in 2017 Bob Feller Act of Valor Ceremony

This past Thursday, Nov. 16, the Navy baseball team had the opportunity to attend and participate in the 2017 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award ceremony in Washington, D.C. Hosted at the United States Navy Memorial's Heritage Center for the fifth year in a row, a number of Navy's players attended the ceremony that honored Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Seaver, Baltimore Orioles reliever Darren O'Day, Chief Petty Officer Edmundo Brantes, Training Support Center Great Lakes, Unmanned Patrol Squadron ONE NINE (VUP-19), and USMC Staff Sergeant Adam Plambeck for their dedicated work that embodies the ideals of Bob Feller's historic and service oriented life.
