Scarbrough’s 30 Point Effort Not Enough To Stop Harvard

A 30-point performance by reigning MAAC Player of the Week, Kollyns Scarbrough, was not enough to push Siena Women’s Basketball past Harvard 75-67. The Crimson is now 8-1 in their last nine home openers.

Women’s Basketball Inks Four

Siena Women’s Basketball Head Coach Ali Jaques announced the program’s four additions to the Saints’ Class of 2022. Amari Anthony, Haley Blasetti, Angelina Hammond and Margo Peterson signed and returned their National Letters of Intent during the Early Signing Period and will enroll at Siena College next fall.



Scarbrough Named MAAC Player of the Week

Second Half Surge Propels Saints Past St. Bonaventure

Siena used a second half surge in which they outscored St. Bonaventure 44-27 to take the home opener victory 70-62. Sophomore Maddie Sims recorded a career-high 16 points, with 11 coming in the second half.

Siena opened up their 2017-18 season by traveling to Big Ten contender Penn State where the Lady Lions came away with the homecoming victory 86-72. The Saints shot an impressive 56-percent from the field in the fourth quarter to come back from down 35.

1937 Restaurant Week Returns for Start of Siena Basketball Season

Siena Athletics and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District will once again team up to celebrate the start of a new Siena Basketball season in downtown Albany with the return of “Siena 1937 Restaurant Week” from Nov. 7-13. The second annual “Siena 1937 Restaurant Week” will offer diners three-course meals at numerous participating downtown Albany restaurants for the cost of $19.37, in recognition of the year of the founding of Siena College which is celebrating its 80th Anniversary this year.

Clareth, Scarbrough Selected to Preseason All-MAAC Teams

Siena Men’s Basketball junior captain Nico Clareth has been named a Preseason Second Team All-MAAC selection and women’s basketball senior guard Kollyns Scarbrough received First Team acclaim during the conference’s preseason awards show which aired Tuesday night on ESPN3. The men were predicted to finish sixth according to the MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll as voted on by the conference’s 11 head coaches, while the women were projected to place eighth.
