Capital Region basketball fans will once again have the chance to meet the 2017-18 Siena men’s and women’s basketball teams at the annual KeyBank Siena Basketball Sneak Preview on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Times Union Center. The complimentary reception is open to the public, and fans who plan to attend are kindly asked to RSVP in advance by completing the form at the top of the page.

Brown and Menty Named to MAAC Hall of Fame Honor Roll

Siena Basketball legends Marc Brown ’91 and Laura (Menty) Menges ’08 have been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Hall of Fame Honor Roll Class of 2017. The duo will be enshrined in “The MAAC Experience” exhibit at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in a special ceremony on Saturday in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Candela Hermida Added to Women's Basketball Roster

Siena Women's Basketball Head Coach Ali Jaques has announced the signing of Candela Hermida. The 5'8" guard from Spain is the fourth addition to the Saints' roster, joining Marilena Georstergiou, DeAnna Winston and Hayley Winter.

Recent Siena Women’s Basketball and Women’s Golf graduates Meghan Donohue ‘17 and Kristen Bromley ‘17 have been named to the Sport Changes Life Victory Scholars Class of 2018, which launched with an evening at the Nike Headquarters in New York City. Donohue, Bromley and 23 other Victory Scholars are set to embark upon a life-changing year of mentoring young people through sport in the communities of Ireland, while also having the opportunity to study for their Master's degrees and continuing to play the sport they love.

That's what Siena expected when it headed to Havana for three games against the Cuban national team. LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - When rising senior Emmanuella Edoka of the Women’s Basketball team registered for a basketball camp in Nigeria in 2010, she never could have predicted by 2017 she would be at Siena College about to finish her senior year and earn her degree in Economics while also playing basketball.

Hetzke Ruled Medical Exception, Named Student Assistant Coach

Siena Women’s Basketball rising senior forward Margot Hetzke has been declared a medical exception as a result of multiple concussions and hip injuries suffered which caused her to miss large portions of both the Saints’ 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Hetzke will remain with the program as a student assistant coach.

Grant Rejoins Women’s Basketball Staff

Safiya Grant, who served on Ali Jaques’ first two staffs at Siena, is rejoining the women’s basketball program as an assistant coach. Grant, who was previously an assistant with the Saints from 2012-14, returns to Loudonville after spending the past two seasons in a similar position at Western Carolina.
