- A record tying 11 Siena College student athletes have been named 2017 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. Siena's honorees included men's golf's Scott Kim, men's lacrosse's Ryan Ghaderi, water polo's Madison Obata, women's basketball's Emmanuella Edoka and Kollyns Scarbrough, women's soccer's Madison Vasquez, softball's Sarah Ho, women's tennis' Mitsuki Fukamachi and Rina Sakai, track's Meghan McDonough and volleyball's Kalehua Katagiri.

Baseball. Saints Season Ends With Split at Marist

Siena Baseball saw its 2017 campaign come to a close with a season-ending doubleheader split against MAAC rival Marist in Poughkeepsie. The Red Foxes eliminated the Saints from MAAC Tournament contention with a 4-3 win in the opener, while Siena was able to enact a bit of revenge in denying Marist the regular season crown with a 6-5 triumph in the nightcap.

Baseball. Marist Pushes Baseball to Brink

Marist pounded out 17 hits to take the series opener from Siena Baseball 9-2 in Poughkeepsie. The Saints must now sweep Friday’s regular season-ending doubleheader – and also receive some help – in order to qualify for the MAAC Tournament for a fifth consecutive season.

Softball. Cossack Selected to NFCA All-Region Team

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 667 student-athletes from 175 programs who received 2017 NFCA Division I All-Region Recognition. MAAC Softball Player of the Year and Siena sophomore Madysen Cossack was named to the Great Lakes Region Third Team. Cossack was one of ten MAAC players named to a team, including two others in the Great Lakes region.

M. Soccer. Siena Saints Soccer Academy Set For July 21-23

The Siena Men's Soccer program will be holding its annual Saints Soccer Academy from July 21-23 at the College. The special ID camp is open to male soccer players in Grades 9-12 who are looking for high level soccer.

Siena Baseball mounted a four-run rally over the final two innings capped by a three-run ninth to come from behind and steal a huge conference series triumph with a 5-3 win in the rubber game at Niagara. With the victory, the Saints moved into a three-way tie for the sixth and final MAAC Tournament spot with just one week remaining in the regular season.

Baseball. Saints Slug Their Way to Split at Niagara

Siena Baseball smashed four home runs on their way to earning a series-opening doubleheader split at Niagara. The Purple Eagles took the series-opener 7-4, with the Saints bouncing back to take the nightcap 12-3.

Softball. Saints' Season Ends at MAAC Tournament

Siena Softball's season came to an end on Thursday in New Rochelle, New York. The #2 Saints dropped their opening round game to #6 Fairfield 3-0. In the second game of the day, Siena fell 4-3 to Manhattan in an elimination game.

Softball. Madysen Cossack Highlights Softball’s All MAAC Selections

Siena Softball’s Madysen Cossack was named the 2017 MAAC Player of the Year at the Awards Show on Wednesday. Cossack was also a member of the All-MAAC First Team along with senior Chelsey Drew. Junior pitcher Lauren Butts was voted onto the All-MAAC Second Team and catcher Amanda Dodson picked up All-Rookie honors. Four Saints also received recognition on the All- Academic Team.

Baseball. Baseball Drops Non-Conference Finale

America East frontrunner Binghamton exploded for 11 runs in the first inning en route to a 22-1 win over Siena Baseball in the Saints' non-conference finale in Vestal, New York. Senior centerfielder Dan Swain recorded two of Siena's five hits, and drove in the Saints' lone run with an RBI single in the eighth.
