Baseball. Baseball Caps Undefeated Weekend

Siena Baseball completed an unconventional undefeated weekend on Long Island, recording a win and a tie in their series-ending doubleheader at NYIT. Freshman hurler Brendan White pitched the Saints to a 6-0 shutout in the opener, while Siena scored three times in the final inning to forge a 5-5 draw in the nightcap which was halted due to darkness.

Cross Country. Track Takes Fifth In Outdoor Opener

The Siena Men’s and Women’s Track program got the outdoor season started off on the right foot at the Monmouth Season Opener in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Both the men and women finished fifth overall out of nine teams.

W. Water Polo. Water Polo Picks Up First MAAC Win in Poughkeepsie

Siena Water Polo continued MAAC conference play with a split on Saturday in Poughkeepsie, New York. #17 Wagner topped the Saints 19-2 in game one before Siena took the win 9-6 over St. Francis Brooklyn in the final game of the day. Freshman Diana Fernandez led the team with five goals and nine ejections drawn.

W. Tennis. Women’s Tennis Blanks LaSalle To Maintain Perfect Record

Siena Women’s Tennis improved to 12-0 on the season as the Saints blanked LaSalle 7-0 at Swarthmore College. This is the best start for the women’s tennis program in school history.



M. Tennis. Men’s Tennis Falls

Softball. Softball Splits on Saturday

Siena Softball opened a four game weekend set in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday. In the first game, the Saints bested Robert Morris 3-2 before dropping a nine-inning decision to host UMBC in the final game of the day. Jazmin Ortiz totaled three hits for Siena on the day and pitcher Lauren Butts picked up her second win of the season.

W. Lacrosse. Fast Start Pushes Stags Past Saints

Siena Women's Lacrosse opened up MAAC Play with a 19-5 loss to Fairfield at Siena Turf Field. The Stags put up 12 goals in the first half to propel Fairfield to victory.

Baseball. Freshmen Propel Saints Past NYIT in Extras

Freshman Alex Brickman led off the 10th inning with the go-ahead home run, and classmates Zach Durfee and Rich Gilbride followed with run-scoring singles to lead Siena Baseball past NYIT 5-3 in extra innings in the series opener in Old Westbury, New York. Sophomore hurlers Tommy Miller and Dylan D’Anna combined to record a staff season-high 13 strikeouts.

General News. Kaffka and Cocca Join Siena Staff

Molly Kaffka and Sammy Cocca join the Siena Saints staff. Kaffka has taken on the role of Athletic Academic Advisor while Cocca has been named a new Assistant Athletic Trainer.

W. Basketball. Benitez Transferring Out of Women’s Basketball Program

Siena Women’s Basketball sophomore guard Jackie Benitez has announced her intention to transfer from the College, and has been granted her release. The Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania will leave the school following the conclusion of the spring semester.
