Cross Country. Forman & Pasko Take On Penn Relays

Sophomore Sarah Forman and senior Kelly Pasko took on the elusive Penn Relays in respective races of the 3000m and 5000m. Forman competed against 26 girls, while Pasko took on 64 racers.

Softball. Softball Sweeps Sacred Heart

Siena Softball hosted Sacred Heart for an afternoon doubleheader on Thursday. The Saints took the game one win 7-3 before completing the sweep with a 7-0 shutout. Madysen Cossack had 7 RBIs in the doubleheader for the Saints and Brooke Hughes and Danielle Cacciola earned their first wins of the season on the mound.

General News. Saints Leadership Academy: Spring Edition

Members of the Siena Saints Leadership Academy recently reconvened with Julie Ammary of the Janssen Sports Leadership Center to expand on concepts and techniques first touched on last October. In the interim months, Emerging and Veteran leaders left armed with the “Team Captain’s Leadership Manual,” heard from Ryan Hungershafer ’02 in December about his insights on continuous self-improvement to lead others, and, for many, implemented some concepts to their teams’ seasons.

M. Basketball. Popular 31-in-31 Promotion Returns For May

For the sixth consecutive year, the Siena Athletic Department will conduct its popular 31-in-31 promotion for the month of May. Fans who either renew or purchase new season tickets for the 2017-18 season prior to the end of the month, will be entered to win great prizes which will be awarded daily throughout May.

Baseball. Fit to Be Tied

Siena Baseball Head Coach Tony Rossi has been a part of a lot of history over his 48 seasons guiding the program. And on Wednesday, he was a part of some more. For the first time in program history, Siena has recorded two ties in a single season. Dartmouth scored three times in the ninth inning to pull even, and the game was halted due to darkness following the conclusion of the 10th as the Saints and Big Green were forced to settle for a 9-9 tie.

W. Lacrosse. Women’s Lacrosse Drops Season Finale

Siena Women’s Lacrosse season came to an end on Wednesday evening as the Saints fell 19-6 to MAAC foe Marist. The Saints graduate three seniors in Cara McQuillan, Michelle Schwartz and Briana Sirianni.

W. Golf. Women’s Golf Improves to Fifth Place Finish at MAAC Championships

Siena Women’s Golf leapfrogged both Niagara and Hartford to finish in fifth place at the 2017 MAAC Championships at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Couse in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Senior Kristen Bromley and sophomore Sara Riso each finished in the top-five individually for the weekend.

M. Golf. Saint Peter's, Winter Rally Past Saints, Holt on Championship Sunday

Saint Peter's erased a seven-stroke deficit entering the Final Round to rally past Siena Men's Golf and win the 2017 MAAC Championship at Disney's Magnolia Golf Couse in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Additionally, the Peacocks' Mike Winter carded a -1 on Championship Sunday to overcome Siena freshman Jake Holt and capture the individual title.

W. Tennis. Saints Complete Senior Day Sweep

With a 7-0 sweep of Niagara, Siena Women’s Tennis has clinched the number two seed in the MAAC Tournament. This was their ninth sweep of an opponent this season.



M. Tennis. Koretz Clinches Senior Day Victory

Lone senior Jace Koretz picked up the winning point to push the Saints over Niagara 5-2 for their season finale. This marked the fifth overall win for the Saints, the most since the 2012-13 season.



Baseball. Fairfield Completes Sweep of Siena Baseball

Twelve different Fairfield batters recorded hits and 11 scored as the defending MAAC Champion Stags completed the weekend sweep with a 19-0 blowout of Siena Baseball at Siena Field. The Stags pounded out 18 hits and had 23 batters reach base safely.

Softball. Softball Splits at Quinnipiac

Siena Softball traveled to Hamden, Connecticut on Sunday to battle conference opponent Quinnipiac. The Saints defeated the Bobcats 10-6 in game one of the doubleheader before dropping the second game 2-1. Senior Chelsey Drew totaled four hits on the day. Head coach Bill Lajeunesse picked up his 150th win for the Saints in the game one victory.
