The Providence College women’s ice hockey team’s freshman defender, Avery Fransoo (North Battleford, Saskatchewan), was named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week in announcement made by the league on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017.

The Providence College women’s hockey team defeated UConn, 5-2, on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs, Conn. With the win, the Friars improved to 11-11-1 (6-6-1 WHEA), while the Huskies moved to 11-9-3 (6-6-1 WHEA).



Women's Hockey To Play A Home-And-Home With Connecticut

The Providence College women’s hockey team defeat the Cornell Big Red on Jan. 6, 2017 at Lynah Rink in Ithaca, N.Y. The Friars scored two second period goals and shut out Cornell to win, 2-0. Providence improves to 10-10-1 and Cornell moves to 8-5-1 overall.
