Field Hockey Introduces Incoming Class

Providence College field hockey Head Coach Diane Madl announced today [July 17] that five student-athletes will begin their academic and athletic careers as members of her program this fall. Maddie Babineau (Milton, Ontario), Sydney Cramer (Sciota, Pa.), Cassie Kincaid (Hammonton, N.J.), Manon van Weezel (Waalre, Holland) and Oliva Ward (Havelock North, New Zealand) join a team hoping to build off of an exciting 2016 season, during which the Friars finished tied for second place in the BIG EAST Conference (5-2) and posted a 13-6 overall record.



Mikayla Michals Named To U.S. U-21 Women's National Team

Providence College rising sophomore field hockey player Mikayla Michals (Needham, Mass.) was named to the U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team on June 21. Michals’ selection to the team came on the heels of her performance at the USA Field Hockey Young Women’s National Championship, where she earned an invitation to the U-21 Junior National Camp.

Providence College rising sophomore field hockey player Mikayla Michals (Needham, Mass.) completed play at the 2017 Young Women’s National Championship today [June 16]. The five-day event was held at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. The YWNC afforded nearly 130 athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of coaches and selectors in order to progress within the Olympic Development pipeline.

Mikayla Michals Selected To Compete At 2017 Young Women's National Championship

Providence College rising sophomore Mikayla Michals (Needham, Mass.) was has been invited to compete in the 2017 USA Field Hockey Young Women’s National Championship. The Young Women’s National Championship (YWNC) serves as a high-level, international structured competition which is a selection avenue to Junior National Camps and the Development Squad Camp. This event will take place at the Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. from June 12-16, 2017.
