VILLANOVA, PA. – The Providence College volleyball team finished its regular season with a match against the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday, Nov. 18. The Friars dropped the match of the season, 3-0. With the loss, Providence finished the regular season with a record of 17-16 and 6-12 in the BIG EAST. It was Providence’s first winning season since 2007 and the Friars had a five match win improvement in BIG EAST play from last season.

LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Providence College women’s cross country team raced at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday, Nov. 18. It was the 28th time in the last 29 years that Providence has competed at the NCAA Championships. The Friars finished 16th out of 31 teams.

The Providence College men's basketball team is returning to campus with an in-season tournament title as they defeated Saint Louis, 90-63, on Friday night in the 2K Classic Championship game at Madison Square Garden. It marks the fifth-straight year the Friars advanced to the Championship game of their in-season tournament and their first title since capturing the Hall of Fame Tip-Off in Uncasville, Conn. in 2014.

In the Friars' fourth game of the 2K Classic, the team will play Belmont on Wednesday, November 22 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center at 7 p.m. on FS1.

Providence College women’s soccer goalkeeper Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) was called up to the U.S. Soccer’s Under-20 Women’s National Team roster for a training camp as the team prepares for the 2018 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Women’s Under-20 Championship which will run from Jan. 18-28 in Trinidad & Tobago.
