PROVIDENCE, R.I.- It was announced on Jan. 18 by Providence College women’s volleyball Head Coach Margot Royer-Johnson that three additional student-athletes have committed to play for Providence College. Emma Fink (Western Springs, Ill.), Katherine McLellan (Huntersville, N.C.) and Sarah Daneliak (Naperville, Ill.) will join Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Erika Calvagna (Tustin Ranch, Calif.) as members of the 2018 Friar Volleyball team.

Providence College men’s basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley’s Radio Show will air live on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m. from McPhails in the lower level of the Slavin Center on the Providence College campus. The show will be held live at 7:00 p.m. on WEEI 103.7 FM and Cox YurView (Chs. 4 and 1004). Complimentary food will be provided during the show.

M. Lacrosse. Men’s Lacrosse To Be Broadcast on CBS Sports Network

The BIG EAST men’s lacrosse 2018 season will feature five games broadcast on national television. CBS Sports Network will broadcast four contests, including three games in the BIG EAST Championship in Villanova, Pa. on May 3 and 5. This marks the first time that CBS Sports Network will air the BIG EAST men’s lacrosse championship game. The Network has broadcast the semifinal contests for the past two seasons.

Providence College freshman field hockey player Maddie Babineau (Milton, Ontario) has been named to Canada’s Phase-1 Women’s Indoor National Squad. The squad currently consists of an extended 27-player roster that will train during the first phase of a four-year cycle in an effort to qualify for the next FIH Indoor World Cup.
