W. Lacrosse. Whitehurst and Ryan Earn BIG EAST Weekly Honors

Two sophomores on the Georgetown University women’s lacrosse team earned BIG EAST honors on Tuesday. Midfielder Francesca Whitehurst (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park Country School) was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week for the third-consecutive week. Additionally, attacker Morgan Ryan (Maplewood, N.J./Oak Knoll School) received the BIG EAST Attacker of the Week award.



Baseball. Hoyas to Host UMBC on Wednesday

The Georgetown University baseball team will return home to Shirley Povich Field on Wednesday for a midweek matchup against UMBC. Earlier this month, members of the Georgetown University men's soccer team and staff participated in Georgetown's Eighth Annual St. Baldrick's Day festivities at the Georgetown School of Medicine. It was the fifth-consecutive year that the team has shaved their heads for the cause.

The Georgetown University women's lacrosse program held its annual banquet on Saturday at the Georgetown Conference Center. The banquet honored the 2017 Hoyas for their accomplishments to this point. The eight team awards were announced and the squad's achievements were recognized.
