Sophomore Natalia Villavicencio continued her solid start to the 2016-17 season, pacing Western Carolina with a seventh-place individual finish at the fall-concluding Idle Hour Collegiate Championship that ended Tuesday at the par-72, 6,136-yard Idle Hour Country Club.

Western Carolina senior Ashley Thompson and sophomore Natalia Villavicencio paced the short-handed Catamount side through Monday's first two rounds at the Idle Hour Collegiate as both sit tied for 10th-place with one round remaining. WCU is 11th with a two-round score of 614 (311-303), sitting just six strokes outside of seventh-place at the par-72, 6,136-yard Idle Hour Country Club.

Third after Sunday's opening round, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels roared to the top of the leader board Monday with a team score of 5-over par, 293, to lead the Bill Berg Invitational after 36 holes. Western Carolina sits in third-place entering Tuesday's final round at the beautiful The Ridges Country Club.

Leading entering Tuesday's final round, Western Carolina sophomore Natalia Villavicencio fired a 4-over par, 76, to win the 2016 Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford College at the par-72, 6,012-yard Country Club of Spartanburg. WCU finished with two golfers inside the individual top 10 for a season-best, runner-up showing in the 10-team field.
