The Trojans handed the 49ers one of their 3 losses in 2017. If the eighth-seed Trojans defeat the top-seed 49ers, USC would advance to the April 20 MPSF semifinals to play at the winner of Saturday’s UC Irvine-UCLA match (the semis and the April 22 final will be at the home of the tourney’s top remaining seed). Lucas Yoder leads the nation in kills (second in points), Gert Lisha is second in assists and Andy Benesh is fifth in hitting percentage.
