The UNLV volleyball program’s incoming freshman class has garnered honorable mention status in’s annual listing of the top collegiate recruiting classes. The Rebels’ placement is based on the additions of Jill Berg (Yakima, Washington), Lauren Burt (League City, Texas), Erin Davis (Los Angeles), Alison French (Reno), Mariena Hayden (Belle Plaine, Minnesota) and Shania Scott (Yakima, Washington).

Recent UNLV volleyball signee Thea Sweder is participating in the 2018 FIVB World Championship - Women's European Qualification for Norway this week. Sweder and her Norwegian teammates will play a total of five, second-round matches in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Rebel Volleyball Signs Four More

The UNLV volleyball program has received signed national letters of intent from four student-athletes – Alison French, Leka Kiner-Falefa, Shania Scott and Thea Sweder – who will enroll at the University and be eligible to play for the Rebels beginning in the 2017 season, head coach Cindy Fredrick announced.

The UNLV volleyball program will play a total of 30 regular-season matches -- 15 of which will take place in the Cox Pavilion -- during the 2017 campaign. The fall slate will feature 18 contests against Mountain West foes as well as 12 more versus nonconference competition.

Fredrick To Participate At Sports Leadership Summit

UNLV volleyball head coach Cindy Fredrick will participate as a speaker at Rising Star Sports Ranch Resorts' Sports Leadership Summit at the end of May in Mesquite. The three-day event, which is scheduled for May 19-21, will focus on education, networking, entertainment as well as performance psychology, strength and conditioning, team dynamics and organizational behavior and culture.
