Rebels Salvage Sunday's Series Final, Win 8-3

The UNLV baseball team (29-14, 10-8 MW) returned to its winning ways Sunday afternoon. The Rebels scored single runs in the second, third, fifth and seventh innings and added four more in the ninth en route an 8-3 triumph over the New Mexico Lobos (14-23-1, 8-13 MW) to close out the weekend Mountain West series at Santa Ana Star Field.



Rebel Offense Limited In Loss To Lobos

The UNLV baseball team (28-14, 9-8 MW) was on the wrong end of an 11-2 decision against the New Mexico Lobos (14-22-1, 8-12 MW) in Mountain West action at Santa Ana Star Field. The Rebels scored two runs in the second inning to overcome an early one-run deficit; however, the Lobos were able to score five in the bottom of the frame en route to a nine-run margin of victory.

Lobos Use The Long Ball To Get Past Rebels

The UNLV baseball team (28-13, 9-7 MW) suffered an 8-5 loss to the New Mexico Lobos (13-22-1, 7-12 MW) in Mountain West play Friday night at Santa Ana Star Field. The Rebels scored four runs in the second inning to overcome an early three-run deficit; however, the Lobos were able to claim the contest with the help of home runs in the third and seventh innings.

Fresh off a six-game homestand that saw them post five victories, the UNLV baseball team (28-12, 9-6) will hit the road for six straight contests in Mountain West play. The Rebels begin this stretch Friday with three games in Albuquerque, N.M., against the New Mexico Lobos and three more next weekend in San Diego against the San Diego State Aztecs.

Rebels Score Five In The Ninth To Ground The Pilots

The UNLV baseball team (28-12) overcame a five-run deficit to defeat the Portland Pilots (13-22) at Earl E. Wilson Stadium Wednesday afternoon. The Rebels trailed by five before their first at-bat, but chipped away to stay within striking distance until the ninth when they scored five to win in walk-off fashion. The Scarlet & Gray completed the rally with four walks, three hits and a sacrifice fly.



Rebels Power Past Pilots, Post 12-2 Win

The UNLV baseball team (27-12) picked up its fourth win during its current six-game homestand with a 12-2 victory over the Portland Pilots (13-21) Tuesday night. The Rebels broke the game open with a pair of two-run home runs in the third inning and never looked back, as they tied a season high in homers with five in the contest.

The UNLV baseball team (26-12, 9-6 Mountain West) closes out its six-game homestand this week with a two-game, nonconference series against the Portland Pilots (13-20, 6-9 West Coast Conference) at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebels, who have already posted a 3-1 mark during this stretch with a win over Arizona State and a 2-1 showing against Air Force, will return to the diamond Tuesday (6:05 pm) and Wednesday (2:05 pm) against the Pilots.

Rodriguez's Offense Recognized By The Mountain West

UNLV baseball's Nick Rodriguez was named the Mountain West's Player of the Week after he batted .471 with two extra-base hits and added six runs and five RBI, as the Rebels went 3-1 for the week ending April 15. This is the first career accolade for Rodriguez, and the fifth of the season for the Rebels.

The UNLV baseball team (26-12, 9-6 MW) clinched the Mountain West series Sunday against the Air Force Falcons (15-21, 8-10 MW) with a 10-7, come-from-behind victory Sunday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebels, who jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after the first inning, scored the final four runs of the game after falling behind by one, 7-6, following the Falcons' sixth-inning at-bat.

The UNLV baseball team (25-12, 8-6 MW) lost a 5-1 decision to the Air Force Falcons (15-20, 8-9 MW) in Mountain West play at Earl E. Wilson Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Falcons pulled away late in the game with four runs over the seventh and eighth innings after the two squads had finally managed to score one run apiece in the six off solo home runs by their respective lead-off batters.

The UNLV baseball team (25-11, 8-5 MW) jumped back into Mountain West play with a 6-3 victory over the Air Force Falcons (14-20, 7-9 MW) Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebels fell behind by one run, 3-2, after the fourth inning, but reclaimed the advantage in the fifth with a pair of runs coming off a single in the fifth. The Scarlet & Gray bolstered its lead in the eighth with two more runs en route to the three-run victory and its 22nd straight at home over the Falcons.



Rebels Welcome Falcons For MW Series

The UNLV baseball team (24-11, 7-5 Mountain West) continues its six-game homestand and jumps back into Mountain West play at Earl E. Wilson Stadium Friday evening against the Air Force Falcons (14-19, 7-8 MW). The contest, which is scheduled for a 6:05 pm first pitch, kicks off a stretch of five games in six days with two more versus the Falcons (Saturday and Sunday) as well as a two-game, nonconference series against the Portland Pilots (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Rebels Scorch Sun Devil Pitching Tuesday Night

The UNLV baseball team (24-11) completed the season sweep of the Arizona State Sun Devils (14-19) Tuesday evening with its 14-6 victory at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebels scored seven of the game's final eight runs to pull away from the Sun Devils after a six-run cushion was cut to two after the visitors scored four over the fourth and fifth innings.

Rebels Return Home, Host Sun Devils Tuesday

The UNLV baseball team (23-11) returns to Las Vegas Tuesday night to host the Arizona State Sun Devils (14-18) in the first of six straight home games at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Rebels will continue the homestand with five games in a span of six days, with three contests against Air Force (Friday-Sunday) and Portland (April 17-18).

Rebels Lose Rubber Game, Series To Mountaineers

The No. 26 UNLV baseball team (23-11) suffered a 7-5 loss to the West Virginia Mountaineers (13-15) Sunday afternoon to close out the three-game, nonconference series at Monongalia County Ballpark. The Rebels held a short-lived one-run lead after the top of the first, but the Mountaineers flipped the game in their favor in the bottom half of the frame en route to the five-run win.
