UNLV track & field alumna Amanda Bingson (2009-12) finished fifth overall in the hammer throw Sunday at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships. Bingson's finish coupled with Kaysee Pilgrim's seventh-place showing in the high jump gave the Rebel program a pair of top-10 finishers at the national meet contested at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium.

W. Track & Field. Pilgrim Ties For Seventh In High Jump

UNLV track & field alumna Kaysee Pilgrim finished in a seventh-place tie in the high jump Friday at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships, which are being held at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium. Pilgrim cleared the first height of 5-10.75 (1.80m) on her first try, but was unable to clear the next progression of 6-0.75 (1.85m).

W. Track & Field. Smith-Barnett, Lawson Run At National Meet

The UNLV track & field program's Destiny Smith-Barnett and alumna Lekeisha Lawson competed in the first round of the 100m Thursday at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships, which are being held at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium. Smith-Barnett, a rising senior from Oakland, California, finished 21st overall (11.24), while Lawson, a 2009 Rebel graduate, was three spots back in 24th (11.33).

W. Track & Field. Rebels To Compete At USATF Outdoor Championships

The UNLV track & field program will be well represented at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships this week in the Golden State's capital city. Rising senior Destiny Smith-Barnett as well as Rebel alumnae Amanda Bingson, Lekeisha Lawson and Kaysee Pilgrim will compete at the four-day national meet that begins Thursday and runs through Sunday at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium. The quartet is not only competing for national titles, but also the opportunity to represent the United States in London at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in August.

Baseball. Rebel Trio Taken In MLB Draft

The UNLV baseball program had three of its own selected on the third and final day of the 2017 Major League Baseball First-Year Draft Wednesday. The Oakland Athletics chose junior Payton Squier and senior Justin Jones in the 16th and 34th rounds, respectively; while the Arizona Diamondbacks took redshirt sophomore Ernie De La Trinidad in the 19th round.

Baseball. Baseball Camps Begin Next Week

The UNLV baseball program will conduct five camps this summer beginning next week at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The first four camps are intended for youth between the ages of five and 13 while the fifth is a showcase camp for student-athletes in high school and junior college.
