Aggies, Lee place seventh at Stanford's spring opener

Freshman Yoonhee Kim carded a team-best 1-under-par 70 while senior Paige Lee finished seventh overall to close out UC Davis action at the Peg Barnard Invitational women’s golf tournament at Stanford Golf Course Sunday. The Aggies held at seventh place in the team race with a team total of 599.

Lee finishes Day 1 at Barnard Invite in tie for third

Senior Paige Lee shot an even-par 71 on the first day of the Peg Barnard Invitational women's golf tournament, helping UC Davis hold seventh place with an overall score of 301. She takes part in a six-way tie for third place for the individual medalist honors, four strokes back from Stanford's Andrea Lee, who finished at 4-under-par 67.

UC Davis women’s golf kicks off the spring portion of its 2016-17 season precisely where it left off: at the Stanford Golf Course. The Aggies finished 17th at the rain-shortened Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Professor Condoleezza Rice back in October, with freshman Yoonhee Kim firing an even-par 72 in the final round.

Andrea Wong qualifies for Ladies European Tour

A four-time All-Big West Conference honoree at UC Davis, Andrea Wong compiled a five-under-par 355 total to finish in a tie for 18th place at the Lalla Aicha Tour School final qualifying tournament at Samanah Country Club, earning her a spot on the 2017 Ladies European Tour.
