Aggie women return to golf action in Maui

UC Davis women’s golf travels to its sixth different state during the 2016-17 schedule, this time for the fifth installment of Hawaii’s Anuenue Spring Break Classic at the Bay Course in Kapalua, Maui. The 54-hole tourney takes place from Monday through Wednesday, with one 18-hole round per day on the par-72, 6,022-yard course.

UC Davis finishes 10th at Meadow Club Intercollegiate

Senior Paige Lee and freshman Yoonhee Kim were the top UC Davis finishers while freshman Rei Nakatani posted the team’s low round of even-par 72 during the final day of the Meadow Club Women’s Intercollegiate, hosted by San Francisco and San Jose State at the Meadow Club Tuesday. The Aggies finished 10th as a team with a 54-hole total of 910, 46 off par and 40 behind champion San Diego State.

Sophomore Samantha Hutchison posted the Aggies’ low round of the day with her 1-over-par 73 in first round, while freshman Yoonhee Kim closed out the second round as the team’s top finisher, highlighting UC Davis action through the first 36 holes of the Meadow Club Women’s Intercollegiate golf tournament Monday.

Hutchison fires Aggies' low final round

Sophomore Samantha Hutchison fired a 2-under-par 70 for the UC Davis’ low round of Tuesday’s final-day action at the Westbrook Spring Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin at the Westbrook Golf Club Vistas Course. The Aggies finished 11th as a team at 22-over 886.

Kim, Lee lead UC Davis at Westbrook Spring Invite

Freshman Yoonhee Kim and senior Paige Lee each finished in a tie for 18th place at 2-over-par 146, leading UC Davis after Sunday's portion of the Westbrook Spring Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin at the Westbrook Golf Club Vistas Course. As a team, the Aggies totaled 596 strokes during the day's 36-hole action, closing the day at 20 over par and in a tie for 10th place.

Freshman Yoonhee Kim carded a team-best 1-under-par 70 while senior Paige Lee finished seventh overall to close out UC Davis action at the Peg Barnard Invitational women’s golf tournament at Stanford Golf Course Sunday. The Aggies held at seventh place in the team race with a team total of 599.

Lee finishes Day 1 at Barnard Invite in tie for third

Senior Paige Lee shot an even-par 71 on the first day of the Peg Barnard Invitational women's golf tournament, helping UC Davis hold seventh place with an overall score of 301. She takes part in a six-way tie for third place for the individual medalist honors, four strokes back from Stanford's Andrea Lee, who finished at 4-under-par 67.

UC Davis women’s golf kicks off the spring portion of its 2016-17 season precisely where it left off: at the Stanford Golf Course. The Aggies finished 17th at the rain-shortened Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Professor Condoleezza Rice back in October, with freshman Yoonhee Kim firing an even-par 72 in the final round.
