Men in seventh and women in ninth at UC Riverside Invitational

Graduate transfer Thomas Madden, who made his UC Davis cross country debut this morning, finished fifth overall in the men's 8K, while sophomore Sarah Anderson crossed the line in 27th in the women's 6K on Saturday at the 37th annual UC Riverside Invitational.

Aggies get `sneak peak' of Conference course with Riverside Invite

After opening the season with a pair of individual victories and a women's team win two weekends ago at the Aggie Open, the UC Davis men's and women's cross country teams hit the road for the first time in the 2017 season, heading south for the 37th annual UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16.



Jose Luiz Barbosa named UC Davis head cross country coach

Jose Luiz Barbosa, a Brazilian native and former Olympic 800-meter distance runner, joins the UC Davis cross country team this week as head coach for the 2017 season.Before becoming a coach following his retirement from World Class competition in 2000, Barbosa unquestionably made a name for himself as a high-level track athlete, participating in four consecutive Olympic Games: 1984 in Los Angeles, USA, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, 1992 in Barcelona, Spain, and in 1996 in Atlanta, USA.

Women's cross country gets the win at Putah Creek

Junior Jordy Ceja won the individual first place title in the 6K race and sophomore Julia Lemak won the individual first place title in the 4K race to help secure the women squad's team win at the annual Aggie Open on Saturday morning at the Putah Creek Reserve Course.



Cross country starts 2017 season at home

The UC Davis veterans and newcomers of the men's and women's cross country squads toe the line for their first 2017 season race this Saturday (Sept. 2) at the Putah Creek Reserve Course in Davis, Calif. This field will be shared with Causeway rival Sacramento State in this annual Aggie Open dual.
