UC Davis junior utility Ido Goldschmidt scored four goals while sophomore Yurii Hanley added three, but fifth-year Mark Urban scored with 25 seconds left in the second sudden-victory period to lift the Waves to a 12-11 win over the Aggies in the first round of the Mountain Pacific Invitational at LMU's Burns Recreation Center Friday.

UC Davis freshman Jacob Rudolph scored the first goal of his Division I career to bring his team level with just under seven minutes to play in regulation, but neither team could dent the back of the net in a pair of overtime periods as the Aggies and host Saint Mary's battled to a 1-1 draw on Thursday afternoon at Saint Mary's Stadium in Moraga, Calif.

UC Davis freshman goalkeeper Jonah Addington captured Kap7 Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week honors for the period ending Sept. 17, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon. This is the first such honor to go to an Aggie student-athlete this season.

Roughly five days after defeating then-No. 8 Pepperdine by a 7-5 final at its Aggie Roundup tournament, UC Davis returns to action at the Mountain Pacific Invitational with a first-round matchup against... the very same Pepperdine. The Aggies and Waves, who swapped spots in Wednesday’s national poll, square off at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, then meet either Cal or Air Force in the second round on Saturday morning.

One day after defeating Nebraska, UC Davis returned to the University Ridge Golf Course, in Madison, Wisc., on Tuesday to face Oregon State in the final day of action at the East-West Match Play.



M. Golf. Aggies finish ninth in 2017 season opener

Senior Evan Knight carded his team’s low round of 2-under-par 70 to finish in a tie for 24th place overall, leading UC Davis in the Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Club Sunday. The Aggies finished ninth as a team with a three-round total of 881, one stroke ahead of UNC Greensboro and eight behind East Carolina.
