After the sixth-seeded Mids (8-18) attained an early lead in the first quarter, a 7-2 run of play by the fifth-seeded Seahawks (10-20) over an 11-minute span to close the first half was the difference-maker as Wagner withstood numerous Navy comeback attempts in the second half.

Down 4-0 after one quarter, the Mids (8-17) tied up the game in the second period with three man-up goals before pulling away from the Lakers (13-13) in the fourth quarter. David Huber (Sr., Fort Washington, Pa.) led the Mids’ offensive effort with five goals.

Playing at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium, the sixth-seeded Mids (7-17) were defeated by the third-seeded Blue Jays (5-17) who used a fast start in the first quarter to hold a wire-to-wire lead on their way to the win. In the loss, junior Jared Castillo recorded a team-high three goals to lead Navy.
