The Collegiate Sprint Football League announced late Monday its 2017 postseason listing of All-League honorees. The Navy sprint football team had 13 different players earn accolades, including four players named First Team All-CSFL and a pair named to the second team.

Sophomore kicker Jared Swenson (Seymour, Wis.) was named Collegiate Sprint Football League Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon as announced by the league office. The accolade is Swenson’s third of the year.

The Mids shutout the Eagles for the third consecutive game in the series and have not allowed Post to score since the first 16 seconds of the 2014 game – 239 minutes and 44 seconds of action, spanning nearly 16 quarters.

In the first home game of the season, the Navy sprint football team posted a 33-0 shutout over Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium thanks to a tremendous defensive effort. The Midshipmen defense limited the Ravens to 82 yards of total offense and held FPU to just five first downs on the day.
