Navy Announces 2017 Men’s Lacrosse Schedule

Sixth-year Navy men’s lacrosse coach Rick Sowell announced the Mids’ 2017 schedule on Tuesday which features games against three programs who finished the 2016 campaign ranked among the top 20 in the USILA Coaches Poll and played in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Navy is on tap to play a 13-game regular-season schedule with six contests to be played on its home field, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, including the annual Army-Navy game.

The Navy men’s lacrosse program is highlighted in the Fallball 2016 edition of Inside Lacrosse Magazine available now via Inside Lacrosse’s website. The cover photo features sixth-year Navy head coach Rick Sowell, along with returning All-Americans Chris Fennell (Milford, N.J.), Matt Rees (Sykesville, Md.) and Casey Rees (Sykesville, Md.), along with second-year starting midfielder Greyson Torain (Glen Burnie).

Camposa Reunites with Former Head Coach, Joins Navy Lacrosse Staff

Rob Camposa has joined the Navy men’s lacrosse staff as a volunteer assistant it was announced by sixth-year head coach Rick Sowell on Tuesday. The former standout goalkeeper at Stony Brook arrives in Annapolis following three seasons as an assistant at Molloy College and most recently a two-year stop in Piscataway, N.J. as a volunteer assistant at Rutgers.
