Wed, 14 Sep 2011 14:08:52 EDTThe Navy Intercollegiate Sailing team kicked off its fall season this past weekend by hosting the Radial Open, a precursor to and qualifier for the conference's Women's Singlehanded Championship in two weeks. Light winds challenged the race organizers and the sailors alike, but Navy freshman Mary Hall began her college sailing career with a bang, claiming the overall victory in the 17-boat fleet. Marissa Lihan was close behind and finished third overall, while Emma Ferris was eighth and Killian Corbishley 12th. The strong showing all around qualified all four of the women to compete in the conference championship.
