M. Golf. Rookie Charlie Musto Earns Medalist Honors at Georgetown Intercollegiate

Navy freshman golfer Charlie Musto (Sterling, Va.) birdied the third hole of a six-man playoff on Tuesday afternoon to capture individual medalist honors at the 33rd annual Georgetown Intercollegiate played at the par-71 Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. Musto anchored a Navy squad (295-308-301=904) that placed sixth among the 11-team field in what capped the fall season for the Mids.

For the second time in 2017, Emily Craig has been recognized by the Patriot League as the conference’s M-F Athlete Female Rookie Runner of the Week. The freshman was honored for her strong effort at this past Saturday’s Army-Navy Star Meet.

Live Stats | Live Video | The Navy women's soccer team will continue the back stretch of its Patriot League schedule on Wednesday evening with a home bout with Lafayette. Locked into a spot for the 2017 Patriot League tournament, the Mids (12-3-1, 5-0-1 PL) will welcome a Leopards (3-7-2, 1-4-1 PL) team that has won each of the past two matchups between the programs. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on Wednesday.

Navy and #20 UCF will meet for the first time when they square off on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (34,000) on Navy’s Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM (ET) and the game will be televised by CBS Sports Network with John Sadak, Randy Cross and Sheehan Stanwick-Burch on the call. Navy Mutual Aid Association will serve as the presenting game day sponsor.

Rifle. No. 13 Rifle Drops Road GARC Match at No. 3 Kentucky

The 13th-ranked Navy rifle team was felled Sunday in a road matchup at No. 3 Kentucky by a final score of 4,711 – 4,640. Shooting at the Wildcats’ Buell Armory, the Mids performed well, but were unable to overcome two outstanding halves of competition by the host Kentucky (1-0, 1-0 GARC) squad. Josh Watson led the effort for Navy (2-1, 1-1 GARC) on Sunday with a career-high 586-point score in smallbore on his way to a team-high aggregate of 1,164.

M. Golf. Navy Men’s Golf to Close Fall Season at Georgetown Invite

The Navy men’s golf team will play in its final tournament of the fall season when it takes part in the 33rd annual Georgetown Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the par 71 Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md.with 36 holes slated for Monday with an 8:30 am shotgun start, while the final round will be played on Tuesday beginning at 8:30 am. There will be no live scoring for this event.

M. Soccer. Army-Navy Cup VI Played to a Scoreless Draw

The Navy men's soccer team (2-9-2, 0-3-2 PL) played rival Army West Point (8-4-1, 2-2-1 PL) to a 0-0 double-overtime draw in front of 8,143 fans at the Army-Navy Cup VI at Talen Energy Stadium on Sunday. The Army-Navy Men's Soccer Star Match ended in a draw for the first time since 2012.
