The Navy women's lacrosse team edged defending National Champion and No. 2 seed North Carolina, 16-14, on Saturday afternoon at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C. The win over the Tar Heels (17-3) lifts the Midshipmen (18-4) to their first ever Final Four appearance in school history.

The conference accolades continued rolling in for the 2017 Patriot League champion Navy women’s rowing team on Thursday as the league office announced the Academic All-Patriot League Team. The duo of Julia Arthur (Arlington, Va.) and Miranda Kosmides (Hightstown, N.J.) were named as recipients of the honor that recognizes success both in the classroom and on the water.

Navy senior outside linebacker and co-captain D.J. Palmore has been named one of 42 candidates for the Lott Impact Trophy. Named after Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Ronnie Lott, The Lott IMPACT Trophy is awarded to college football’s Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year. Founded in 2004 by The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, The Lott Trophy is the first and only college football award to equally recognize athletic performance and the personal character attributes of the player. The Lott Trophy is given to the player who exhibits the same characteristics Lott embodied during his distinguished career: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

W. Lacrosse. Women's Lacrosse Battles UNC in NCAA Quarterfinals

The Navy women's lacrosse team travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on No. 2 North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. Opening draw between the Midshipmen (17-4) and the Tar Heels (17-2) is slated for Saturday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Fetzer Field. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3 and live stats will also be available.

M. Soccer. O’Donohue Makes the Most of Spring Exhibition Season

The Navy men’s soccer team recorded a 2-1-2 record in five spring exhibition matches over the last two months. More importantly, however, head coach Tim O’Donohue was able to use the spring season to fully implement his playing system and fitness program.

CBS Sports will remain the home for one of the greatest rivalries in sports, ARMY-NAVY, with a new all-encompassing 10-year deal extending its broadcast, cable and digital rights through 2028. The announcement was made today by Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports; Boo Corrigan, Director of Athletics at the United States Military Academy and Chet Gladchuk, Director of Athletics at the United States Naval Academy.

Navy senior lacrosse standout Brady Dove has been named a finalist for the 2017 Yeardley Reynolds Love (YRL) Unsung Hero Award it was announced by The One Love Foundation on Wednesday. Dove joins four men - Liam Driscoll (Holy Cross), Tyler Pfister (Ohio State), Mark Rizzo (North Carolina) and Ryan Lukacovic (Virginia) - and five women - Maddie Curley (Boston University), Katie Burgee (Ohio State), Alina Atayan (Marquette), Lauren D’Amore (Penn) and Abigail Finkelston (Princeton) - as the 10 finalists who were chosen from an extensive applicant pool.

W. Rowing. Four Midshipman Selected to All-Patriot League Rowing Teams

After a strong regular season and excellent performance at the Patriot League Championship, that saw the Navy women’s rowing program win the 2017 league champions, the team was recognized on Wednesday with four individuals earning All-Patriot League honors. Announced by the league office, Julia Arthur and Ashlyn Dawson represent the Mids on the All-Patriot League First Team, while Grace Lawrence and coxswain Molly McAleer garnered spots on the second team.

Navy women's lacrosse junior midfielder Jenna Collins and freshman attacker Kelly Larkin have been selected to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Team as announced by Inside Lacrosse. Collins was named to the second team, while Larkin earned honorable mention accolades.

Larkin earned her second consecutive Inside Lacrosse Rookie of the Week accolade, while Collins picked up her first Alpha Lacrosse National Player of the Week honor of the season.
