The Navy gymnastics team wrapped up two days of postseason action at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships late Saturday night. Hosted by the University of Washington and competing at Everett Community College, the Mids tested themselves in the team championship action on Friday night before six individuals got the chance to garner USAG All-American accolades in the event finals on Saturday night.

Baseball. Navy Rallies for Late-Inning Win over Princeton

The Navy baseball team showcased its grit and stick-to-itiveness on Sunday afternoon in game four of its series versus Princeton. In the team’s final non-conference weekend set, the Mids (15-9) were six outs away from dropping their third game in a row, until they solved the Tigers (4-13) and notched five runs in the bottom of the eighth on their way to an exciting 8-6 victory at home at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

W. Golf. Women’s Golf to Compete at the William & Mary Intercollegiate

The Navy women’s golf team is set to compete at William & Mary’s Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort’s par-72, 6,043-yard River Course.

W. Track. Women’s Track and Field Begins Outdoor Season by Winning Navy Open

The Navy women’s track and field team opened up the 2017 outdoor season by winning the Navy Open on Saturday afternoon at Ingram Field. The Mids dominated the day, winning 13 events on the afternoon and posting a pair of ECAC qualifying marks.

M. Track. Men’s Track and Field Wins 2017 Navy Spring Invitational

The Navy men’s track and field team posted an impressive victory at the Navy Spring Invitational, defeating George Washington, American University, and Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday at Ingram Field. The Mids tallied a team score of 203, followed by George Washington, American, and UMES.

W. Rowing. Women’s Crew Opens Season with Four Medals at Murphy Cup

The Navy women’s crew program kicked off its spring schedule on Saturday with all-day action at the 35th Memorial Murphy Cup Regatta. Racing on the Schuylkill River, the Mids had five boats competing across four events. At the completion of the day, Navy claimed medals in all four events with second-place finishes by its second varsity eight, first varsity four and second varsity four crews and a third-place result by its first varsity eight.

Lightweight Rowing. Lightweight Crew Opens Spring Season with Murtaugh Cup Victory

The Navy lightweight rowing program started its spring 2017 season with an emphatic Saturday morning of racing at Lake Carnegie versus Princeton. Going up against a perennial leader in the EARC conference, the Mids captured a pair of victories, including the varsity eight competition for the Murtaugh Cup.

Baseball. Navy Falls Twice on Saturday to Princeton

The Navy baseball team saw its 11-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. After winning Friday's series opener by a 9-5 score and with 13 hits, the Mids (14-9) struggled to put together substantial multi-hit and multi-run innings versus a game Tigers (4-12) pitching staff that controlled the flow of the doubleheader. Princeton took game one by a score of 4-2 before closing out the twinbill with a 5-2 victory.

M. Swimming. Duo Completes Events at NCAA Championship

Navy’s Marlin Brutkiewicz and Bradley Buchter closed out their respective events at the NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. Brutkiewicz finished in 18th place in the 200 breaststroke and Buchter placed 40th in the platform diving event.

The Navy women's lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 17-6 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The Midshipmen scored three goals in the first five minutes to set the tone for their first Patriot League win of the year.

Attackman Dave Little broke a 74-year old school record with nine goals, while Brady Dove tied a school record with 21 faceoff wins to lead the Navy men’s lacrosse team (4-6, 2-3 Patriot League) to a 14-9 victory over visiting Lehigh (4-4, 2-3 PL) Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Baseball. Home Runs Power Mids to 9-5 Victory over Princeton

The Navy baseball team used clutching two-out hitting and a dominant first six innings on the mound to grab a 6-0 lead before eventually holding onto a 9-5 victory on Friday afternoon action at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The Mids (14-7) received a three-run home run by Liam Lowery (So., Williamsburg, Va.) in the bottom of the second to open up a lead that starting pitcher Noah Song (So., Claremont, Calif.) would help control throughout the majority of his outing as the right-hander struck out 10 Tigers (2-12) over his 6.1 innings in the game. An eighth-inning two-run home run by Leland Saile (Sr., Land O’Lakes, Fla.) plated late insurance runs for Navy in the team’s 11th straight win in a row.

Lightweight Rowing. Navy Lightweight Rowing Opens Spring Season at Princeton

The Navy lightweight rowing program will get on the water for its first competition of the 2017 season on Saturday morning. The Mids will travel to Princeton and the Tigers’ home course of Carnegie Lake. The annual matchup of league rivals will begin at 10:45 a.m. with fifth and sixth varsity eight racing and culminate at 11:45 a.m. with the first varsity crews racing for the right to secure the Murtaugh Cup.
