In the Patriot League weekly awards announcement, the Navy women’s crew program was recognized as its varsity four crew was noted as the league’s Corvias Varsity Four Boat of the Week. The Mids were honored for their effort at the Clemson Invitational this past weekend.

Football. Will Worth Named To The National Football Foundation & College Football Hall Of Fame Hampshire Honor Society

Navy senior quarterback Will Worth has been named to the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society, which is compromised of college football players from all divisions of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers and was a starter or significant contributor. Worth and Claude Alexander from Air Force were the only two Service Academy players to make the list.

W. Tennis. No. 3 Navy to Open PL Women's Tennis Tournament vs. No. 6 Bucknell

The Navy women's tennis team (17-11, 4-2 PL) will be the No. 3 seed at the upcoming 2017 Patriot League Women's Tennis Tournament at Lehigh this weekend. No. 3 Navy will open tournament play by facing No. 6 Bucknell in a Patriot League Quarterfinal on Friday at 2 PM.

Baseball. Weather Forces Cancellation of Wednesday's Navy-Coppin State Baseball Game

After weather in the Baltimore region saw substantial rainfall numbers during Tuesday and overnight, the regularly scheduled contest between Navy and Coppin State for Wednesday at Joe Cannon Stadium has been cancelled. No makeup has been announced and the Mids will now turn their attention to the Bucknell Bison in the Patriot League regular season finale this weekend. The Mids and Bison are scheduled for a Saturday doubleheader at 11 a.m. and a Sunday twinbill at 12 p.m. at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

M. Track. Men's Track and Field Ready for Penn Relays

Coming off one of the best outdoor weekends of the season, the Navy men's track and field team heads to Philadelphia for the prestigious Penn Relays this Thursday through Saturday. The meet will be held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The 2017 McDaniel Twilight Meet ended soon after it began due to inclement weather in the Westminster, Md. area. Navy women’s track and field will continue the week with the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. this Thursday.

Despite a second-half rally by the fourth-seeded Navy men’s lacrosse team (6-8, 4-4 Patriot League), the Mids’ season came to a close Tuesday evening with an 11-7 loss to fifth-seeded Holy Cross (5-9, 4-4 PL) in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.

Stats | Fresh off a 3-1 series win over Army this past weekend, the Navy baseball team will head up the road to Hanover for a non-conference mid-week contest versus Coppin State. The Mids (33-13) and Eagles (9-24) will play the back end of a home-and-home series that started in Annapolis on April 5. Wednesday's game will be played at Joe Cannon Stadium in Hanover, Md. beginning at 3 p.m.

Navy will play host to Holy Cross in the Patriot League Quarterfinals on Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The Mids, who enter the game 6-7 overall and 4-4 in the Patriot League, are led by sixth-year head coach Rick Sowell, while the 4-9 Crusaders are under the direction of third-year head coach Judd Lattimore. Tuesday's contest marks the 15th meeting in a series that dates back to 2004.

Four members of the fourth-seeded Navy men’s lacrosse team were named to the 2017 All-Patriot League Team announced Monday, including Chris Fennell who was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year for a third consecutive year. Three of Navy’s four all-league selections were named to the 15-player first team, while one was selected to the second team.

Intercollegiate Sailing. Intercollegiate Sailing Qualifies for Women's Nationals

The Navy intercollegiate sailing team competed in three regattas this past weekend. Due to its top-nine finish at the MAISA Women's Championship, Navy has qualified for the College Sailing Women's Nationals in Charleston, S.C. from May 23-26.
