M. Soccer. Men’s Soccer Plays Duquesne to a Scoreless Draw

Navy (2-4-2) played Duquesne (5-2-1) to a 0-0 draw in a non-conference men’s soccer match at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on Tuesday evening. Duquesne entered the game ranked 16th in the national RPI rankings and the Dukes are now 4-0-1 in their last five games.



Squash. Mids Turn In Strong Performance at Maine Maryland Doubles Squash Tournament

The Navy tandem of Randy Beck (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) and Jack Herold (Chicago, Ill.) finished second at the Maine Maryland at Meadow Mill Doubles Squash Tournament this past weekend, dropping a three-game match (15-14, 15-8, 15-11) to top-seeded Wade Johnstone and Taylor Tutrone in the championship.

M. Lacrosse. Camposa Reunites with Former Head Coach, Joins Navy Lacrosse Staff

Rob Camposa has joined the Navy men’s lacrosse staff as a volunteer assistant it was announced by sixth-year head coach Rick Sowell on Tuesday. The former standout goalkeeper at Stony Brook arrives in Annapolis following three seasons as an assistant at Molloy College and most recently a two-year stop in Piscataway, N.J. as a volunteer assistant at Rutgers.

The Navy men’s soccer team (2-4-1, 0-1-0 PL) will host Duquesne (5-2-0, 0-0-0 A10) in a non-conference match on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. There will be live statistics of the match and free live video with Joe Miller on the play-by-play.

Football. Undefeated Navy and Air Force to Meet for the 49th Time in Series History

Service Academy rivals Navy and Air Force will meet for the 49th time on the gridiron when the two battle one another on Saturday at Falcon Stadium (46,692) in Colorado Springs, Colo. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM (ET), 1:30 PM in Colorado Springs.

Scheduled in conjunction with the Mids' 3:30 p.m. football game versus Memphis, coffee and pastries will be available and served to alums as they check in beginning at 9:00 a.m. After the teams are drafted by honorary captains and the uniforms are issued, play between the Blue and Gold teams will commence at 10:00 a.m.

The fall season for the Navy rowing program kicked off on Sunday as both the heavyweight and lightweight teams from Hubbard Hall were in action at the 36th edition of the Head of the Potomac. The Mids had 17 entries racing across the Club Eight, Open Eight and Open Four events on the 2.8-mile course on the Potomac River. Led by a victory in the Open Eight race, Navy’s two teams combined for eight top-five results on Sunday.

M. Water Polo. Navy Splits MAWPC Doubleheader on Sunday

The Navy water polo team went 1-1 on Sunday in a pair of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference contests at home in Scott Natatorium. The Mids (6-6, 1-3 MAWPC) secured a 13-7 victory over the Seahawks of Wagner (3-10, 0-3 MAWPC) in the morning before coming back in the afternoon and battling with the Fordham Rams (5-5, 2-1 MAWPC) over 38 minutes of tight, overtime action. The Rams pulled out the 14-13 win in extra time over the Mids.



M. Tennis. Pilones Wins D Singles Flight at Joe Hunt Invite

The second annual Joe Hunt Invitational men’s tennis tournament came to a close Sunday at the U.S. Naval Academy. Players from 11 teams competed in five singles flights and three doubles draws over the course of the three-day event that utilized all 24 of Navy’s available courts.

M. Water Polo. Navy Water Polo Defeated by Bucknell on Saturday Night

The Navy water polo team dropped its second Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference game in as many nights as the Mids (5-5, 0-2 MAWPC) fell to the Bison of Bucknell (7-1, 1-0 MAWPC), 20-11 on Saturday night at Scott Natatorium on the grounds of the United States Naval Academy. Two lengthy goal runs by the visiting Bison in the middle two quarters of play spelled defeat for the Midshipmen at home.
