Swimming Falls at Fairfield

Siena Swimming was back in the pool on Monday afternoon to battle MAAC opponent Fairfield. The Stags bested the Saints in the meet, 142-95. Maggie Fletcher and Fiona Dretzka picked up one individual victory each for Siena.

Pioneers Swim Past Saints on Senior Day

Siena Swimming dropped its final home meet of the season Saturday to the visiting LIU Post Pioneers. Siena honored its five seniors in a special ceremony before the meet. Sophomore Elizabeth Fournier picked up a victory for the Saints in the 200 butterfly.

Swimming Hosts LIU Post on Senior Day

Siena Swimming will compete in its final home meet of the season on Saturday as the Saints host LIU Post at 1:30 p.m. at Niskayuna High School. The Saints will honor their five seniors in a special ceremony before the meet at 1:15 p.m.

Saturday's Siena Swim meet has been moved from the Siena Swim Center to Niskayuna High School in nearby Niskayuna, NY. The meet will now begin at 1:30 p.m. Siena's five seniors will be recognized just before the meet in a senior day ceremony.

Siena Swimming finished the 2016 ECAC Championships in fourth place. Wagner College took home the women’s title ahead of Long Island University Post.

Saints Move Up a Spot in ECAC Championships

Siena Swimming moved into fifth place today at the ECAC Championships, totaling 547 points in the first 15 events. Wagner College leads the women's competition with 736 points ahead of tomorrow's final day of competition.

Swimming Opens ECAC Championships

Siena Swimming began its ECAC title defense Friday night in East Meadow, New York. The Saints are currently in sixth place after the first of three days of competition. Day one consisted of one diving and two swimming events. There are a total of 13 schools competing in the women's meet.

Siena Swimming’s Fiona Dretzka was named the MAAC Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday. This is the first weekly award for the junior.

Siena Swimming defeated the visiting Merrimack Warriors 122-73 on Saturday. The Saints recorded the top time in each of the meet's 11 events to secure their first dual meet victory this season. Freshman Rachel Brown won two individual races for Siena.

Siena Swimming dropped two decisions on Saturday in Vestal, N.Y. The Binghamton Bearcats defeated the Saints 178-94, while the Niagara Purple Eagles got the victory over Siena 209-85. Freshman Rachel Brown won the 200 freestyle for Siena.

Siena Swimming hosted the Holy Cross Crusaders tonight in their first home meet of the season. Freshman Rachel Brown and junior Fiona Dretzka picked up two wins each for the Saints who won eight of the 16 events.
