Long to Play in Gotham Hoops Invitational

Siena Basketball senior Lavon Long has accepted an invitation to play in the Fourth Annual Gotham Hoops Invitational which will be held on Saturday, Apr. 22 at 3 p.m. at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York. The tournament-style competition features 36 of the top college basketball seniors in the nation, and serves as a showcase to international scouts.

Saints Sign Manny Camper

Siena Basketball Head Coach Jimmy Patsos has announced the fourth and newest addition to the Saints' Class of 2021. Worton, Maryland native Manny Camper has signed and returned his National Letter of Intent during the NCAA's regular NLI signing period, and will enroll at Siena College this fall.

Siena to Host NCAA Tournament Basketball Next Three Years

Siena College, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Times Union Center will co-host NCAA Tournament basketball games each of the next three years. The trio has been awarded both the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Regional and the 2020 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds. Siena, the MAAC, and the Times Union Center were previously selected to host the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Regional.

The 2016-17 KeyBank Siena Basketball Celebration was held Wednesday night at the Hilton Albany. Several hundred fans, family members, supporters and sponsors joined the Siena men's and women's basketball teams for the annual event which celebrated the squads' 2016-17 seasons.

Siena Basketball red-shirt senior forward Brett Bisping and senior guard Marquis Wright have been lauded as National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District I Second Team selections. The duo was amongst five student athletes named to the Second Team, which is selected and voted upon by member coaches of the NABC.

Patsos to Join NCAA Tournament TV Coverage

Siena Basketball Head Coach Jimmy Patsos has been selected to serve as a guest studio analyst for Turner Sports and CBS Sports’ Saturday and Sunday coverage of the NCAA Tournament. Patsos will join the Atlanta studio team of host Casey Stern and analysts Brendan Haywood and Seth Davis for the networks’ coverage which airs on TBS, CBS, TNT, truTV and via NCAA March Madness Live.

Siena is heading back to the MAAC Championship Game following one of the most remarkable halves of basketball in program history. The Saints erupted for 64 second half points – 27 of which came from hobbled guard Nico Clareth – to rally from a 17-point deficit with 17 minutes to go and stun regular season champion and No. 1 seed Monmouth 89-85 in the MAAC Semifinals at the Times Union Center.
