Saints Stymie Stags, Win Third Straight

Siena Basketball is winless on the road no more. The Saints posted their best defensive performance on the road this season to complete the regular season series sweep of Fairfield 63-54 at Webster Bank Arena. Red-shirt senior forward Brett Bisping scored a game-high 16 points and added seven rebounds for the surging Saints which have won three straight to pull within a game of first place in the MAAC.

Seniors Power Saints Past Quinnipiac

Seniors Brett Bisping, Lavon Long, Javion Ogunyemi and Marquis Wright all scored in double figures and combined for 67 points to lead Siena Basketball to its second straight win, 81-74 over Quinnipiac at the Times Union Center. Bisping paced the group with his sixth double-double of the season with 19 points and a season-high tying 15 rebounds for the Saints which have now captured seven of the nine all-time meetings between the programs.

Brett Bisping Named Senior CLASS Award Candidate

Siena Basketball red-shirt senior forward Brett Bisping has been named one of just 30 candidates nationally in his sport for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible, a student athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Saints Bounce Back, Grind Past Saint Peter's

Sophomore guard Nico Clareth scored the go-ahead basket with 69 seconds left, and classmate Kadeem Smithen sank two clutch free throws in the waning seconds as Siena Basketball snapped a four-game losing streak with a much-needed 56-54 win over Saint Peter's in front of 6,478 at the Times Union Center. Senior guard Marquis Wright led all scorers with 16 points for the Saints.

Saints Hosting "Hannaford Helps Fight Hunger Night" Saturday

Siena Athletics and Hannaford Supermarkets are teaming up to host "Hannaford Helps Fight Hunger Night" at Saturday's men's basketball game vs. Saint Peter's at 7 p.m. at the Times Union Center. Fans attending the game who donate at least three non-perishable food items -- which will be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York -- will receive a voucher for two free tickets to a future Siena Men's Basketball regular season home game during the 2016-17 season.

Hosted by men's basketball broadcaster A.J. Kanell and women's basketball voice Chris Watson, the show featured interviews and insight from head coach Jimmy Patsos and head coach Ali Jaques, as well as senior forward Jimmy Merrill and junior guard Kollyns Scarbrough.

Dukes, Scott Propel Purple Eagles Past Saints

Canisius Holds Off Saints in Buffalo

Sophomore Evan Fisher and classmate Nico Clareth's looks at potential game-tying threes in the final five seconds were off the mark as Canisius fended off Siena Basketball 82-79 at the Koessler Athletic Center. Senior forward Javion Ogunyemi tied a season-high with 19 points and added eight rebounds for the Saints which nearly battled all the way back from as much as a 13-point deficit midway through the second half.
