The Siena Athletics Family is saddened to learn of the passing of men’s basketball great Bob Hermann ’70. A 1978 Siena Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, Hermann passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12 at the age of 68.

Siena Basketball Breaks Top-100 Nationally in Attendance For 20th Straight Season

For the milestone 20th consecutive season Siena College cracked the top-100 nationally in Division I men’s basketball attendance. The Saints ranked 91st in the nation amongst 347 Division I programs according to the 2016-17 NCAA Men’s Basketball Attendance Report, drawing an average of 5,925 guests over 17 home dates.

Bisping Headed Home to Play in The Basketball Tournament

Before embarking upon his professional playing career in Sweden later this year, recent Siena Basketball graduate Brett Bisping will first be taking his talents back to a familiar locale. The Peoria, Illinois native is set to suit up for his hometown Peoria All-Stars in The Basketball Tournament, a winner-take-all $2 million event. Moreover, Bisping and the Peoria All-Stars will open play in the 64-team tournament Saturday at Bradley University in Peoria.

The Toronto, Ontario standout averaged 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15.8 minutes over seven tournament contests to propel his home nation to the country’s first-ever gold medal in a basketball world championship at any level.

Siena Participating in Fifth Annual Gotham Classic

A portion of Siena Basketball's 2017-18 non-conference schedule has been revealed with the announcement of the Saints' inclusion in the Fifth Annual Gotham Classic. Siena will play four games over a two-week span in the five-team event, traveling to face Louisville, Memphis, and Bryant, while hosting crosstown rival UAlbany in the annual Albany Cup showdown.
