The Providence College women's tennis team notched their first dual meet victory of the year, topping Fairfield University on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in Providence, R.I. The Friars bested the Stags 5-2 on their home tennis courts.

The Providence College women's tennis team took on the University of Rhode Island in its 2016-17 home opener on Sunday, Oct. 2 in Providence, R.I. The Friars were defeated by the Rams, 6-1.



Saturday’s Tennis Match Versus Rhode Island Postponed Until Sunday

The Providence College home tennis match versus the University of Rhode Island, which was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, has been postponed. The match will now be played at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 at PC's Tennis Courts.



Women’s Tennis Competes At Quinnipiac Invitational

The Providence College women’s tennis team travelled to the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Facility to compete amongst eight teams in the Quinnipiac invitational from Sept. 16-18. The Friars posted a 3-15 singles record and went 1-4 in doubles play on the weekend.



Women's Tennis Opens Season At The Sacred Heart Doubles Invitational

The Providence College women's tennis team began its 2016-17 season with strong play in the Sacred Heart Women's Doubles Invitational on Sept. 11 in Fairfield, Conn. The tournament marked the first action of the year for the Friars, which also fielded teams from Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Fairfield, Siena, and Holy Cross. Providence College's doubles pairings compiled a 12-8 overall record for the day.
