Providence College men’s basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley’s Radio Show will air live on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m. from McPhails in the lower level of the Slavin Center on the Providence College campus. The show will be held live at 7:00 p.m. on WEEI 103.7 FM and Cox YurView (Chs. 4 and 1004). Complimentary food will be provided during the show.

Former Friar Ernie "Pop" Lewis Passes On

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Former Friar men’s basketball player Ernie “Pop” Lewis ‘87 passed away yesterday (Jan. 10). Lewis, a native of Germantown, Pa., helped pace the Friars to their remarkable run to the 1987 NCAA Final Four his senior season. Lewis, along with Head Coach Rick Pitino, and teammates Billy Donovan, Delray Brooks and others helped the Friars make a magical run to the 1987 Final Four where they eventually were defeated by Syracuse (77-63). The team finished with a 25-9 mark.
