The Providence College men's basketball team is returning to campus with an in-season tournament title as they defeated Saint Louis, 90-63, on Friday night in the 2K Classic Championship game at Madison Square Garden. It marks the fifth-straight year the Friars advanced to the Championship game of their in-season tournament and their first title since capturing the Hall of Fame Tip-Off in Uncasville, Conn. in 2014.

The Friars will return action in New York City when they play Saint Louis on Friday, November 17 at 7:30 pm on ESPN 2 in the Championship game of the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden. In the Friars' fourth game of the 2K Classic, the team will play Belmont on Wednesday, November 22 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center at 7 p.m. on FS1.

The Friars will face Saint Louis in the Championship game on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden on ESPN2. The Providence College men's basketball teamed defeated the Houston Baptist Huskies, 84-55, in Providence, R.I. in the first game of the 2K Classic which benefits the Wounded Warrior Foundation. The game marked the Friars' first game in Alumni Hall since March 1, 1972. Providence has posted a 93-62 mark (0.600) all-time in season tournaments.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men’s basketball coach Ed Cooley announced today (November 9) that student-athletes David Duke (Providence, R.I.), A.J. Reeves (Roxbury, Mass.), Jimmy Nichols (Conway, S.C.), and Kris Monroe (Raleigh, N.C.) each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Providence College beginning in the fall of 2018. The four student-athletes formulate a highly anticipated Friar recruiting class, which is ranked in the top-30 by (No. 30), (No. 13), and (No. 11).
