Tue, 18 Apr 2017 15:47:00 EDTArguably one of the deepest positions for the Ohio football team in 2016, the Bobcats and new position coach Pete Germano will have some holes to fill with the departure of MAC Defensive Player of the Year Tarell Basham, defensive lineman Casey Sayles, Tom Strobel and defensive end Kurt Laseak.
Fri, 14 Apr 2017 12:03:00 EDTThere is no question that the losses of Jordan Reid and Sebastian Smith will create some big shoes to fill in the Ohio wide receivers corps. Both are capable of being drafted in the late rounds or signed as free agents in the NFL. But, the man who helped them get to that position isn’t going anywhere. Dwayne Dixon returns with plenty of talent that he can mold, including Elijah Ball and Papi White, who will presumably be at the slot.

Thu, 06 Apr 2017 17:01:00 EDTThe Bobcats return three starters from last year’s offensive line in RS junior guard Durrell Wood, junior center Jake Pruehs and RS sophomore tackle Joe Lowery. Wood leads the group in career starts with 26 while Pruehs is just behind him at 25 career starts. All three returning starters started in all 14 games for Ohio a year ago.
Thu, 30 Mar 2017 14:50:00 EDTWide receivers coach Dwayne Dixon was up until 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, working on a hat. Not just any hat, but a captain’s hat, just like the on the TV show Love Boat. He claimed it wasn’t for a special occasion, but it wasn’t just a coincidence that he made it and wore in on Ohio’s Pro Day—the largest in program history.

Ohio will have to replace the production from outgoing senior Blair Brown who led the Bobcats with 128 total tackles and 71 solo stops. Brown also racked up 15 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.
