The Michigan State women’s tennis team improved to 7-1 on the season with a 5-2 win over Xavier on Sunday afternoon at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. The Spartans took the doubles point, as they have in all seven wins this season, before Emily Metcalf, Davina Nguyen, Lexi Baylis and Athena Trouillot all picked up wins in singles play to give MSU the victory.

The Michigan State women’s tennis team fell in a hard-fought battle with No. 14 Auburn, 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility. It was the Spartans first loss of the season, as they are now 6-1 on the year, while Auburn improves to 7-0 this spring.



Womens Tennis Defeats Toledo, Bowling Green

The Michigan State women's tennis team picked up two wins on Saturday afternoon over Toledo and Bowling Green. The Spartans didn't concede a point all day, defeating Toledo 7-0 before downing BGSU 5-0 in the afternoon match. MSU improves to 6-0 this season and is looking to match the best start since the 2012-13 team began the year 7-0.

The Michigan State women’s tennis team returns home to begin a five-match homestand as they host Toledo, Bowling Green and No. 14 Auburn this weekend. Michigan State will host the Toledo Rockets and the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. The Spartans will then host the No. 14 Auburn Tigers on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 12 p.m. All three matches will take place at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.

Women's Tennis Takes Two in Texas

The Michigan State women's tennis team built on its successful start to the season with a 4-3 win at UT-Arlington to improve to 4-0 on the year. Senior Athena Trouillot continued her historic run and now has the most overall wins in school history after picking up career win 131 today. Trouillot also became the MSU all-time singles wins leader last weekend.

Spartans Take Two On Opening Day, Trouillot Becomes All-Time Singles Wins Leader

The Michigan State women's tennis team got off to a hot start to the 2017 season, winning both of its matches on opening weekend. In the first dual matches of the Kim Bruno era as the Michigan State women's tennis head coach, the Spartans started with a dominant 7-0 victory over Eastern Michigan before defeating Cleveland State, 7-0 to wrap up the first weekend.
