Michigan State women's basketball closes out the stretch of playing seven of its last eight games on the road, taking on Rhode Island on Thursday, Dec. 8 in Kingston, Rhode Island. MSU improved to 5-2 during that stretch with a 71-54 win over Quinnipiac on Tuesday. Overall, the Spartans improved to 8-2 this season with both losses coming to teams either ranked (Syracuse) or receiving votes (Oregon).

The Spartans have faced both teams once. MSU defeated Quinnipiac in Burlington, Vermont and beat Rhode Island in East Lansing in 2006.

Tori Jankoska scored 22 points, including four free throws in the final 10 seconds, to lift No. 24 Michigan State past Cal State Northridge for a 63-59 win. Taya Reimer added 16 points for Michigan State (6-1), while Lexi Gussert and Hana Vesela chipped in eight points apiece. Jankoska also had six rebounds, six assists and three steals. The Spartans fell behind in the third quarter when Channon Fluker dropped in a layup that made it 45-43, sparking a run that eventually gave the Matadors a 55-48 advantage when Fluker made another layup midway through the fourth.

Career-High from Jankoska Leads No. 24 Michigan State Past Delaware, 81-64

Tori Jankoska made eight 3-pointers and scored 32 points - both career highs - and No. 24 Michigan State beat Delaware 81-64 on Friday night to advance to the championship game of the Radisson Thanksgiving Classic. Jankoska made two 3-pointers in the first 47 seconds of the game and scored 24 points in the first half on 8-of-9 shooting from distance. She finished 11 of 16 from the field and 8 of 12 from 3-point range. Her previous career high for 3s was six. Taryn McCutcheon had nine points and eight assists for Michigan State (5-1). Jankoska added six assists as the Spartans used 23 of them for 29 made field goals.

Spartan Women's Basketball Continues Road Trip at Radisson Thanksgiving Classic

No. 24/19 continues its season-long five-game road trip, remaining in the Pacific time zone for the Radisson Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 25-26, hosted by Cal State Northridge.
