A pair of Marquette University women’s soccer players, Ryley Bugay and Kylie Sprecher, have been selected to train in the coming week with the Philippines and United States U-20 women’s national teams, respectively.

The men’s basketball team makes its third trip to the Maui Invitational and will face VCU on Monday, Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m. Central time at the Lahaina Civic Center. Should the Golden Eagles win, they would play in the tournament semifinals at 12:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday against the winner of the Wichita State/California matchup. A loss on Monday and MU would play the loser of that game at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. MU’s best result in Maui was a runner-up finish in 2007 to Duke and then-assistant coach Steve Wojciechowski.

Senior midfielder Eli Beard and redshirt junior forward Carrie Madden were named to the All-BIG EAST Championship Team on Sunday following the conclusion of the league’s title match in Washington, D.C. Beard scored a pair of goals in Marquette’s 3-0 win over Xavier in the league quarterfinals on Sunday, Oct. 29, while Madden assisted Kylie Sprecher’s match winner and Beard’s first goal of the afternoon.
