Lions Host Grand Canyon, Seattle in Pair of Double Duals

LMU swimming will host a pair of double dual meets this Friday and Saturday, welcoming Grand Canyon University and Seattle University to the Burns Aquatics Center. Friday's meet is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., with Saturday's meet slated for 9:30 a.m.

Saturday, October 21 will be a busy day on the LMU campus, as LMU will host a swim meet against Seattle and Grand Canyon beginning at 9:30 a.m., will welcome #8 BYU to Gersten Pavilion for a Noon volleyball match, and the campus will host the 11th-annual Think Pink 5k Run/Walk beginning in Lot C in front of the Burns Recreation Center from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Eichelberger Finishes Fourth in Pentathlon

Sophomore Alyce-Faye Eichelberger combined to post a time of 2:54.36 over five events on Saturday afternoon from the PCSC Pentathlon in La Mirada, Calif., claiming fourth overall in her events. The native of West Chester, PA topped her time of 2:56.76 while competing in the same events last year, but she claimed third place a year ago.

Willis Garners PCSC Athlete of the Week, Lions Head to PCSC Pentathlon

Junior Isabel Willis took home the first Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Division I Athlete of the Week honor on Friday, it was announced by the conference office. Willis and the Lions posted a victory at Dixie State last week, and will now participate at the PCSC Pentathlon on Saturday.

Lions Go 1-2 in Final Relay to Earn Victory at Dixie State

With a dual meet set to be decided in the final race on Saturday afternoon, LMU swimming went 1-2 in the 400 freestyle relay to earn a 138-123 victory on the road at Dixie State. LMU's A relay of Taylor Anderson, Farah Stack, Alyce-Faye Eichelberger and Isabel Willis combined for a time to 3:40.92 to win the race, followed by teammates Marley Abbott, Anna Gasiorowsi, Natalie Morlock and Caitlin Ryan in 3:46.64.

Lions Open Season at Dixie State

The LMU swim team will get the 2017-18 season underway on Saturday, traveling to Dixie State for a 10 a.m. meet with the Trailblazers. The meet will be held at the Washington City Community Center.

The 2nd Annual BeerFest Was a Hit

BeerFest is an annual day supporting The Lions Athletic Fund, where everyone gets to enjoy brews, bites, and bonding for a great cause. The event included live music, food trucks, games, souvenir glasses, and of course tastings of some of the best craft beers around, including several from LMU alums.
