Maier Tabbed PCSC Athlete of Week, Lions Prepare for Senior Day

For the first time in her career, senior Stacy Maier has been named Pacific Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference (PCSC) Athlete of the Week. The honor is the fourth of the season for LMU, as senior Hannah Calton has earned the selection twice, and freshman Lanna Kozlowski once.

Nail-Biting 400 Relay Hands LMU PCH Cup Point

With a Wells Fargo PCH Cup point and a head-to-head victory on the line entering the final race of the Lions Cup on Saturday afternoon, LMU finished in front of Pepperdine in the 400 freestyle relay to defeat the Waves in the Division I scoring, 286-280.5.

Tight Races on Day One from Lions Cup

Hosting the inaugural Lions Cup over the weekend at Burns Aquatic Center, LMU swimming holds a slim half point lead over PCH Cup rival Pepperdine in the DI scoring segment of the four-team invitational following one session of competition. The Lions own 83 points through five events, with the Waves sitting at 82.5 points.

Calton Wins 100 Butterfly in Double Dual

Swimming in a double dual meet against UC San Diego and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday afternoon, LMU dropped a pair of decisions, but senior Hannah Calton managed to capture a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.50. The Lions dropped a meet to UCSD, 234-57, and fell to CSU Bakersfield, 228-63.

Calton Takes Sixth in Championship Final

Senior Hannah Calton took sixth overall in the Championship Final of the 200 individual medley on Thursday from the A3 Performance Invitational. Calton earned the sixth-place finish with a time of 2:03.37 after registering a mark of 2:03.00 in the morning preliminary races.

Calton Nabs Another Weekly Honor

For the 19th year at LMU, the third weekend of October will begin with the ceremonial start to the college basketball season, Midnight Madness.
