On the final day of the A3 Performance Invitational, three additional Lions swimmers qualified for the evening finals, including LMU senior standout Hannah Calton, who made it back to her third final of the competition placing 13th in the 100 freestyle in a personal-best time of 51.69.

Calton Takes Sixth in Championship Final

Senior Hannah Calton took sixth overall in the Championship Final of the 200 individual medley on Thursday from the A3 Performance Invitational. Calton earned the sixth-place finish with a time of 2:03.37 after registering a mark of 2:03.00 in the morning preliminary races.

Calton Nabs Another Weekly Honor

For the second time this season, senior Hannah Calton has been named Pacific Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference (PCSC) Athlete of the Week. The honor is the third straight for LMU, as freshman Lanna Kozlowski took it home last week after Calton earned the honor on October 17.

Athlete of the Week Honors Guide Lions into Competition

For the second time in as many weeks, LMU swimming earned Pacific Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference (PCSC) Athlete of the Week honors, as freshman Lanna Kozlowski earned the selection following impressive swims against UC Davis last week. The selection comes on the heels of senior Hannah Calton’s selection a week ago (Oct. 17).

UC Davis Tops LMU in Home Meet

Hosting UC Davis in the first home swim meet of the year, LMU swimming suffered a 146.5-109.5 setback on Friday afternoon from the Burns Aquatic Center. Senior Hannah Calton won a pair of races, while freshmen Lanna Kozlowski and Alyce-Faye Eichelberger each claimed one victory.

For the 19th year at LMU, the third weekend of October will begin with the ceremonial start to the college basketball season, Midnight Madness. Relays Shine in Malibu

LMU swimming won the 200 medley relay before placing second in the 200 freestyle relay while competing at the Malibu Invitational on Friday and Saturday. LMU’s top relay in the 200 medley took top honors with a time of 1:52.91, while the A relay finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:40.93.

Lions Hit the Water in Malibu

The LMU swim team will continue early season competition this weekend as the Lions travel to Pepperdine and Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool to participate in the annual Malibu Invitational. The two-day competition will feature diving and distance events on Friday before the middle distance and sprint events take center stage on Saturday.

Third Annual Day at Races Set for November 6

Join LMU coaches, student-athletes, alumni, parents and fans for the Third Annual Women in Athletics - Day at the Races. This fundraising event, which will be held on Sunday, November 6 at Santa Anita Racetrack, recognizes and celebrates LMU's female student-athletes and their programs. 
All proceeds will benefit the Women's Athletics Program Fund.

Calton, Eichelberger Finish Top-Three in Pentathlon

Senior Hannah Calton combined to post a time of 6:19.57 over five events on Saturday afternoon from the PCSC Pentathlon in La Mirada, Calif., claiming second overall in her events. Freshman Alyce-Faye Eichelberger also finished in the top-three over her five events, totaling a time of 2:56.76.
