Wilhelmsen Selected for Senior All-Star Game

Senior Kirsten Wilhelmsen of the Lafayette women's lacrosse team added another notch to her accolades on Friday afternoon after being selected to play in the 2017 Senior All-Star Game.

Somewhere on an unlined, uncut, divot-filled field stands a group of youngsters circled around their volunteer coach. That coach just finished working her full-time job and scrambled to get to the field on time. That coach used her lunch hour to develop a practice plan for the evening’s session. That coach tossed the well-thought-out plan aside five minutes into practice realizing that tonight the kids just needed to burn some energy and play. We all know that coach. She’s at the heart of why we play sports. Two boys reminded me of that fact when I needed it most.

Wilhelmsen Earns Second-Team All-Region Honors

Senior Kirsten Wilhelmsen of the Lafayette women’s lacrosse program was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Second Team, it was announced on Friday afternoon.

Lafayette athletics kicked off its nominee announcements for the PARDees on Tuesday morning, unveiling the four women up for the Class of 1913 Trophy. The nominees include field hockey’s Katelyn Arnold, Ashley Goreshnik from swimming, women’s soccer’s Kaelin King and Charlotte Rath from women’s lacrosse.



Wilhelmsen, Smith Earn Academic All-PL Honors

Women's Lax Opens PL Tourney at Boston U.
