The Mocs jumped out to an early lead after doubles and hung on to win the match 5-2 over the Catamounts. Freshman Madison Riley moved within two singles victories of tying the WCU program record for wins in a season currently held by former Catamount Stacia Kissell who won 16 matches in both 2014 and 2016.

WCU nearly pulled off the doubles point and fought hard in nearly every singles contest but the Bucs were able to pick up the sweep.

Sophomore Alexa Webb moved into a tie for third on the single season charts for individual victories as she captured her 13th win of the season.

WCU and USCU battled on every court with WCU using a pair of nearly impossible comebacks to capture a 4-3 victory. Junior Elizabeth Ansari and freshman Madison Riley used an incredible comeback in doubles to capture the point for the Catamounts while Riley repeated the feat in singles to clinch the match for WCU.

The match featured a rare occurrence as WCU head coach Michaela Kissell-Eddins faced off against her mother, Kim Kissell, who is the head coach of Seton Hill.

Freshman Madison Riley was a perfect 2-0 in singles play as she won her 10th and 11th victories of the season to move into a tie for third in the all-time WCU records for most singles victories in a season. She now trails only former Catamount Stacia Kissell who won 16 matches in both 2014 and 2016.

The Catamounts downed Providence College 5-2 early Monday before playing under the lights and tripping up Mount St. Mary's 6-1 in the night cap. WCU was a perfect 6-0 in doubles play on the day and dropped just three singles matches along the way. Four Catamounts had a perfect 4-0 day with a pair of doubles victories and two singles wins.

Central 5-2 before downing King 7-0 in a nearly flawless match. Sophomore Alexa Webb led the way as she was a perfect 2-0 in singles action and 1-0 on the doubles court.

WCU picked up a 6-1 victory over the Aggies to move to 2-0 at home this season.

WCU outlasted host UNC Asheville Sunday afternoon at the Asheville Racquet Club. Freshman Madison Riley improved to a team-leading 4-1 in singles play on the season as she clinched the match at No. 5.

Three freshmen Catamounts made their debut on the purple courts as WCU evened out its season record at 2-2. WCU did not drop a set the entire match and freshmen Jordan Strickland picked up a dominating 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 2 singles to lead the way.

The match was held at Eastern Kentucky University’s Greg Adams Tennis Center and saw WCU fall behind 3-0 before roaring back and winning four-straight singles matches to claim the 4-3 victory.
