2017 Hall of Fame: Josie Hahn Reynolds

Josie Hahn Reynolds left West End as one of the most decorated all-around track athletes in Commodore history. Hahn finished as a two-time All American in the pentathlon and a two-time All-American in the heptathlon and won an individual SEC championship in 2004. That same year, Hahn was named Tennessee Female Amateur Athlete of the Year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.

T&F earns USTFCCCA academic honors

Due to its exemplary performance in the classroom, Vanderbilt women’s track & field earned several All-Academic honors for the 2016-17 season, as presented last week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Simone Charley named a First-Team Academic All-American

Commodore track and field star Simone Charley added to her list of accomplishments on Friday when she was named a first-team Academic All-American for track and field/cross country by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), becoming the first Vanderbilt track and field/cross country athlete to be named a first-team Academic All-American and only the second track and field/cross country athlete to be named to an Academic All-American team (Stacey Carpenter, 1999).
