Dores close out season at home this weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt lacrosse team returns home this week and look to close out the season on a high note. The Commodores host Marquette this Sunday at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex with the game slated for a 1 pm start. The Dores will look to finish the season off with a win, which would tie for the most wins in the past five seasons.



Commodores lose nail-biter to Bearcats 10-9

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Vanderbilt Commodores went on the road for the final time this season and looked to stop a three game losing streak Saturday night against Cincinnati. The game was tied four separate times and unfortunately the Bearcats would have the last possession and made the most of it, scoring with three seconds left to win 10-9.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Vanderbilt lacrosse team will hit the road for their final road trip of the season this weekend. Their 10th and final trip of the season will have the Dores travel four hours north to take on Cincinnati this Saturday at 5 pm CT.



Commodores drop heartbreaker to Temple, 11-10

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt Commodores (6-7, 3-4) returned home this weekend to take on Temple and keep their BIG EAST tournament hopes alive on Senior Day. The game had a lot of runs and the Commodores led for most of the contest but in the end, Temple had the final run and defeated the Dores 11-10 Saturday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt lacrosse team returns home after a tough two-game road trip and is looking to put that behind them when they face Temple Saturday afternoon. Tomorrow’s game will be Senior Day for Eliza Clemens, Jill Doherty, Callahan Kent, MacKenzie Lange, Caroline Peters and Abby Quirk. The six seniors will be honored before the game with the ceremonies beginning at 12:45 pm CT.



No. 13 Denver too much for the Commodores

DENVER, Colo. - The Vanderbilt Commodores traveled to the Mile High City in search of their first ranked win of the season. The No. 13-ranked Pioneers were too much to handle Wednesday afternoon and defeated the Commodores 17-4.

Jill Doherty named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Vanderbilt attacker Jill Doherty was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for her performances against UConn and Georgetown, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. This is her second BIG EAST Honor Roll appearance and the fifth Commodore to garner BIG EAST honors this season.

Commodores suffer 18-11 setback to Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Vanderbilt Commodores (6-5, 3-2) traveled to the nation’s capital to face the Georgetown Hoyas (6-7, 4-1) in a matchup of two teams with 3-1 records in conference play. The game was back-and-forth for the first 20 minutes of the game but the Hoyas pulled away at the end of the first half and controlled the rest of the game, defeated the Commodores 18-11.

Doherty climbing the record books

Jill Doherty has largely cemented herself as one of the greats of Vanderbilt lacrosse; she owns 81 assists for her career and needs just eight to become the Dores’ all-time leader. Doherty also has a chance to finish in Vanderbilt’s top-five for career points (she has 160) and draw controls (141).



Commodores run past Huskies 16-8

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt Commodores (6-4, 3-1) looked to rebound following their defeat to No. 3 Florida and they did just that against UConn (3-8, 0-3). They controlled most of the action Wednesday afternoon en route to a 16-8 win. The Dores improved to 3-1 in league play, which is their best start in conference play since joining the BIG EAST in 2015.

Vanderbilt falls to No. 3 Florida 16-6

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Vanderbilt Commodores (5-4, 2-1) faced their toughest challenge this season on Saturday against No. 3 Florida (9-2, 3-0). The Gators took control of the game from the opening draw and built a 12-0 lead going into halftime. The Commodores would fight back in the second half but ultimately fell 16-6.
