Like the quarterfinal and semifinal matches on Sunday, this one also came down to the last match, with freshman John Augenstein going 23 holes to come away with the deciding victory, 1-up, over the Aggies' Andrew Paysse.

The number-one seed Commodores will face the fourth seed, Florida, at the Seaside Course for a place in the finals on Monday morning.

The first-place stroke-play finish is Vanderbilt's highest in their 52-year history of the event, surpassing a second-place finish in 2015 and a pair of fourth-place finishes in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Sophomore Patrick Martin tied Florida's Alejandro Tosti for the lowest individual score with a 10-under par, 200 (66-68-66) and finished runner-up after Tosti defeated Martin on the second playoff hole.

Keur. Martin and the Commodores finished in third place as a team with a team score of 849 (283-280-286) at the Forest Heights Country Club.
