MG advances to 4th consecutive NCAA Championship

The Commodore men's golf team advanced to the NCAA Championship for a program-record fourth consecutive season on Wednesday afternoon at the College Grove Regional after finishing the tournament in a tie for second with a final score of one-over par, 865 (279-285-301). Sophomore Patrick Martin led the Commodores, ending the event in a tie for third individually with a final total of five-under, 211 (66-69-76).



VU maintains lead in College Grove

The number-one seed Vanderbilt men's golf team carded a second-round three-under 285 team total on Tuesday and maintain their lead at the NCAA College Grove Regional at The Grove in College Grove, Tenn. The Commodores lead a trio of teams in second place, Lipscomb, Clemson, and UCF, by eight shots heading into the final round on Wednesday. The top five teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Championship May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms Golf Club in Sugar Grove, Ill.

The number-one seed Vanderbilt men's golf team opened the first round of the NCAA College Grove Regional with a nine-under par, 279, after a stellar performance on The Grove's back nine. The Commodores lead the team leader board by six shots over UCF, with the top five teams at the regional advancing to the NCAA Championship May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms Golf Club in Sugar Grove, Ill.

Snedeker Foundation announced as charitable beneficiary of Nashville Golf Open

The Web.com Tour and Tour Vision Promotions announced Wednesday that the Snedeker Foundation, which was founded by PGA TOUR star, Nashville native and Vanderbilt alum Brandt Snedeker, will be the official charitable beneficiary of the Nashville Golf Open. The tournament’s official title will become the Nashville Golf Open benefitting the Snedeker Foundation. The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon at the tournament’s media day.



Dores earn a myriad of SEC honors

The Southeastern Conference handed out their all-conference hardware on Wednesday afternoon, and the Commodores were front and center in the selections honoring the best in the league in 2016-17. Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh won the program’s first SEC Coach of the Year honor and freshman John Augenstein was named the league’s Freshman of the Year, while Patrick Martin and Matthias Schwab were named to the All-SEC First Team and Theo Humphrey was named to the All-SEC Second Team for their accolades this season.

Dores claim first-ever SEC Championship

The Vanderbilt men's golf team claimed their first-ever SEC Championship in dramatic fashion on Monday at the Seaside Course, winning their final match-play match, 3-2, over Texas A&M in Sea Island, Ga. Like the quarterfinal and semifinal matches on Sunday, this one also came down to the last match, with freshman John Augenstein going 23 holes to come away with the deciding victory, 1-up, over the Aggies' Andrew Paysse.



Augenstein makes winning putt, moves VU to SEC Finals

The Vanderbilt men's golf team notched a come-from-behind, 3-2, win over Ole Miss on Sunday morning in the quarterfinals of the 2017 SEC Championship in Sea Island, Ga., to advance to the semifinals Sunday afternoon. The number-one seed Commodores will face the fourth seed, Florida, at the Seaside Course for a place in the finals on Monday morning.



VU claims stroke-play title at SEC's, Martin finishes runner-up

The number-three ranked and number-one seeded Commodores claimed the stroke-play portion of the 2017 SEC Championship on Saturday at the Sea Island Golf Club's Seaside Course after finishing the 54-hole tournament with a score of 11-under par, 829 (276-281-272), six shots better than second-place Texas A&M. The first-place stroke-play finish is Vanderbilt's highest in their 52-year history of the event, surpassing a second-place finish in 2015 and a pair of fourth-place finishes in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Sophomore Patrick Martin tied Florida's Alejandro Tosti for the lowest individual score with a 10-under par, 200 (66-68-66) and finished runner-up after Tosti defeated Martin on the second playoff hole.



Dores second after two rounds of SEC’s

The #3-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team finished their first two rounds of the 2017 SEC Championship in second place with a Friday total of 557 (276-281), two shots behind Texas A&M at the Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course. The Commodores are also 11 shots clear of the eight-team match-play cut line entering the final round of stroke play on Saturday morning in Sea Island.



VU lands 2021 NCAA golf regional

In a proud partnership with the NSC, Vanderbilt announced on Thursday that the NCAA has awarded the city of Nashville the 2021 NCAA Regional Championship for Division I men's golf. The event will take place at The Golf Club of Tennessee on May 16-19, 2021.
